The Caravan Club
"Haycraft Caravan and Motorhome Club Campsite makes an ideal base to explore Dorset’s historic towns, picturesque villages and incredible coastline. There are numerous public footpaths and coastal walks to enjoy near the caravan site, while those looking to relax can enjoy the nearby beaches in Swanage, or Studland Bay’s glorious stretch of golden sand. The caravan park also offers easy access to Poole Harbour, Bournemouth, Dorchester, Weymouth and Wareham, as well as the National Trust’s Brownsea Island. The site is also just a few minutes’ walk away from Swanage Railway, where you can ride on heritage steam trains to Swanage and Corfe Castle village."

Currently closed with a private house being built on the land. All signs have been removed at the entrance. Not sure if there are any plans to reopen.
We were there on the last weekend it was open, beginning November. Weather was awful, but the site and location were good. Nice views when the sun shone. The staff there were very helpful and friendly when I phoned them, and on arrival. Useful bus route nearby.
Great setting. Only a short walk to the railway station where you can catch a Steam train to Swanage or Corfe Castle.Service: 5/5
We have had the most amazing week af Haycraft. The staff are very friendly and showers and toilets very clean. We have been on the bus to Swanage a few times and on the steam train which is not far and enjoyed a lovely but quite long walk to Corfe. We have been so lucky with the weather this week.Service: 5/5
A really lovely little site. Quiet, dogs allowed and the staff are amazing. The surrounding views are picturesque and early in the morning, due to puppy duties, the sunrise was amazing. The toilets and showers aren’t modern but they are clean, they work and there was plenty of hot water. There is also a disabled toilet/shower facility near the reception area. In reception there are some basic provisions. Get your railway tickets at site for a discount. Very close to Harmans Cross railways station that will take you to Corfe Castle one way and to swanage the other. Well worth a visit . Lots of walkers and bike riders , for those with a little more energy.
Helpful staff. Location is between 2 big roads so bit of a walk to get bus. Corfe castle is a good treck. Murco garage had one of the prices for fuel we'd seen, also sold Calor.
By far, the best site I’ve ever stayed at. The staff are very friendly, flexible and very accommodating! The staff work very hard to provide a clean, tidy and respectable site. It’s very quiet for those who wish to enjoy a peaceful break. This site is ideal for walkers and cyclist, as well as those who wish to enjoy stopping! I can’t recommend it enough, I’ll be returning!
The site is excellent. The toilet block is in good condition and spotlessly clean. The site is very quiet during the day and also at night. The staff are friendly. However, pack a pneumatic drill to put in the pegs on the hardstanding pitches.
Perfect, lovely site, washrooms may need an update, but, clean and showers amazing for both hot water and pressure. So so dog friendly, all on site fab walks and huge off lead area...wardens welcoming and extremely helpful, thankyou for a lovely stay.....ps....organise the sun next time please....lol
Nice site and great walks into Swanage, Corfe Castle or even closer with the Matravers villages where you can find a good pub that take dogs. If a little tired you can take the Swanage steam train back from Swanage or Corfe Castle and walk back up the hill. Facilities good and great views with very helpful and friendly staff. A great little site
