This is a very lovely and extremely friendly restaurant and I can thoroughly recommend it. Their prices are very reasonable and their staff are always very polite, friendly and helpful, nothing is too much trouble. The waitresses always go above and beyond what is expected of them and they'll always check everything is ok during your meal. If you don't want chips you can always have an alternative, such as a jacket potato, mashed potato or salad etc. If you haven't booked it's not a problem, even if they're busy they'll always try and get you seated as quickly as possible.

Extremely friendly restaraunt, my parents are regulars here, they took me out I very much enjoyed teh food and atmosphere. Service was great and the food was amazing. I was very impressed with the starters.

A pub belonging to the McMullens chain setving typical 'pub food' at a very reasonable price. I have been eating there off and on for over 10 years and have always found that the quality of the food is consistent and reliable and the table service by the cheerful and friendly staff is excellent. Booking advisable at busy times.

We have been regular visitors to The Bull and have usually enjoyed our meals there. However, the last two visits, the meals have not been up to par. Food has been overcooked, and when visited last night to try the new menu we were very disappointed. Mashed potato had like a skin on top where it had been over-microwaved. Buttered seasonal vegetables, dry, in fact the cabbage was uneatable. The cobbler dumplings on the stew were very stodgy and solid. Service was not as good as it has been and we had to wait for ages to order dessert and had to catch the waitress attention. Such a shame as it used to be a nice evening out, good food and good value for money. Will take a lot for us to go back again.
