5 of us enjoyed a Sunday roast here each of us ordering a different meat plus one vegetarian. Absolutely fantastic - lots of food and veg all very much enjoyed their meals. Staff were lovely and so accommodating - nothing too much trouble. Lovely atmosphere the locals - very kind and helpful Dad in a wheelchair and helped open doors etc. Wheelchair friendly with ramps going up to the restaurant area. We all very much enjoyed it here. They also know how to pour a Guinness which isn't always the case in some pubs. Dog friendly which is fab!!! Thanks guys!
Lovely pub, staff are really friendly and welcoming. We all really enjoyed the food. Definitely home cooked and very tasty, good value as well. We went back several times.
Pub advertised as serving food in a Sunday but it wasn't and when we finally ate there later in the week we're disappointed with quality. Fish and chips particularly so! Like large fish fingers and no flavour! No atmosphere! Toilets were the best bit..!

Nice pub. Warm and inviting, and as a newcomer to the area, not just 'one for the locals' even though I am a local now. Food not the best, but far from being the worst. Prices are about average.b Friendly bar staff. What's not to like?

First visit to this pub and definitely the last, on arrival we stood at the bar for the best part of 10 minutes and was totally ignored the bar wasn't busy then after finally being seen to by the most unfriendly young lady we were pointed in the direction of our table where we were totally ignored again for another 25 minutes. No menu was offered to us infact not a word was spoken to us so we decided to get up and leave. We left our drinks on the table. All in all I can confidently say this is the worse Customer Service we have ever experienced. Going forward from your response to my earlier review we never expected table service or another menu we were happy to have Sunday lunch & also happy to order from the bar but because we were ignored we had no idea what we had to do regarding ordering!!
Fantastic pub with good selection of drinks as one would expect. The food is excellent, with vegan options available also. Service was polite and prompt. Would recommend!
We dropped in for roast today and it was beautiful. Fresh, hot and lots of veg etc. the staff couldn’t do enough for us and the chef even came out to ask was everyone happy. It’s a Sunday and they only do a roast and it’s a great typical English pub with the added bonus of Meerkat offers.
