We booked a table of 9 for last night. The football was on amd the pub was busy. Staff were fantastic. Food was amazing!!! Great pub, super atmosphere. Will be back soon for more food and drink.
Good food and portion sizes. Chill interior and great value for money. The downsides are bar staff is pretty rude, especially if you have an intolerance or an allergy. They say to look online instead of being helpful to the customer for allergy information. Lastly, they need to do something about bugs as I got flies landing in my food, and I’ve seen dead beetles and ants near the dining areas. I’ve raised the concern before, but my concern was ignored. Overall it’s a great place to eat, but the staff should represent the restaurant brand better even on busy days like a Saturday and should take better care of pest control.
Went to this pub last night, and I have to say, apart from the food, I was very disappointed, when I first went to the bar to ask for the children menu the landlord was busy chatting to someone and I had to wait for over five minutes before he even saw me. When I asked for the menu it seemed to be a problem getting it. When going back to order food, again had to wait as well as another man. There was no warm welcome. I have been here a lot of times and it has never been like this. So very disappointed. Also there was no toilet roll in the lady's. The food was good as always. Seeing this was the first visit for my daughter and granddaughter it was a shame as I had always said how friendly the staff and management was. Fingers crossed next time it will be.
Food spot on and good value for money. Efficient service. Good prices . Landlady and team are friendly and always up for a laugh . The place to be on a Friday
Thank you so much to the fabulous staff and customers that came to my aid after a fall INTO the pub this afternoon. This was my first visit to this pub but I will be returning soon. And of course singing your praises.
Please sort the ladies toilets out. One has had no lock on for over a month. One is blocked and one has a lovely 'explosion' in it. Not much cleaning has gone on for some time. Such a shame as used to be so lovely.
Nice to be back in my old local. Pub is well run, both management & staff are really good. Service very good and food good. Its a proper pub. If you miss out on a visit, hard luck. Your loss.
So the ladies loos still don't have locks, one of the doors even needs refitting as the hinge is hanging off the frame. It would also seem that there are no regular checks for cleanliness or toilet paper. I think today was particularly bad as there was an hour wait for food.
The staff was very friendly, food was good. Busy but didn't feel over crowded
Great food and served large portions. good priced pensioners menu, toilets clean. Staff excellent and welcoming.
