Wow what a treat to be served by friendly sweetheart Carol the owner. Our quaint well stocked room was very comfortable, bed was awesome! From the time we arrived and had a lovely welcome from Carol until the time we left, it was a perfect stay. The room was comfortable, clean and had everything we needed. The breakfast was excellent, cereal, fresh fruit, yoghurt and what ever combination of cooked breakfast your heart desired. Plenty of good coffee and toast too. Although the road is busy and noisy at peak times, it was quiet at night so not a problem. The location was great for exploring the area and we would definitely return. K and R
Our room was the smallest iv ever stayed in ..also the shower room was tiny.the owner lady was miserable and didn't like that I asked for more tea and milk for our room. Breakfast was good. Wouldn't go back.
We stayed in one of the annexe rooms. Absolutely lovely, spotlessly clean, the most comfortable beds ever and everything you could possibly need in the room. Very quiet room too so had the best nights sleep! Superb breakfast choice and wonderful coffee served by the very friendly lady owner. Really excellent value for money. We have already booked in for our next trip up to Leeds!
Visiting our great grandson with our daughter and husband. Owners, Carol & her husband, were brilliant & faultless. The rooms are fitted to a high standard, the food was superb, great location. Certainly recommend.
Lovely hotel. Beautifully clean, lovely furnishings, very comfy. Very pleasant, and friendly hosts. Super breakfast. Would definitely recommend and look forward to the opportunity to return.
Had a lovely over night stay, the room was lovely, airy clean and spacious no7 had a fabulous breakfast and a leisurely coffee outside, the whole stay was very relaxing thanks to the two ladies who were very friendly, attentive & helpful,would definitely recommend a stay and will be back. Would highly recommend staying here. Carol was so welcoming and friendly. The hotel is lovely and immaculately clean. Slept like a log in the comfy bed and breakfast was brilliant and set us up for the day. To be honest they should go on 'Four in a Bed' as they would be hard to beat.
Carol is a super host and great base for hiking, with rail connections to Leeds or Sheffield. Local traffic may disrupt light sleepers having a sleep in. A good excuse to go to the excellent breakfast.Rooms: 5/5
