Great bar, great staff, the drinks are a little above average price wise, but everything else makes up for it.

Saturday nights are usually really busy, with DJ Mike Holmes playing on the decks till the early morning. Friday nights are a little bit calmer and sometimes they tend to close downstairs and use the upstairs bar, with music playing upstairs (unless there's a special event on).

Great views of Elvet bridge can be seen from the bar. The inside of the bar has been done out within the past couple of years, and is very modern type interior.

Awful service. Forgotten meals, then had actually forgotten 1 of the 3 sandwiches made, whilst the inept staff stood about. Whilst they did comp drinks, would not recommend at all.

Nice bar overlooking the river and one of Durham's bridges. The staff were friendly and the drink selection decent. Has a little outdoor space that's great for a sunny day.

Fantastic food good choice of drinks nice atmosphere staff friendly and worked hard happy to help and always smiling by the river beautiful

Can only review on drinks as the kitchen was closed,  really friendly staff with a relaxed atmosphere an inviting venue where we lost track of time and enjoyed ourselves longer than we originally intended to.  Well worth a visit.
