We came here for lunch. There were seven of us so there was quite a big number to get all the food out at the same time but they did really well. Traditional, friendly pub with roaring fire. Lovely atmosphere, made a welcome change from all the generic pub chains. Will definitely be going back.

A nice local pub that does what a pub should do. It's friendly and well run. For those interested in the beer when I visited they had Black Sheep, Theakstons bitter, and Timothy Taylor's Landlord on draught. It has a limited menu of home cooked meals and snacks, typical pub fare but none the worse for that.

Reliably excellent traditional pub grub and traditional pub ambiance. For us, their roast beef Sunday lunch is worth a forty-minute round trip. Friendly, informal, and an open fire on a cold day.

Very good pub. Great good, friendly, smiley staff. Very welcoming. Definitely go again, if only for food.
