I have been here twice and my last visit has been the favourite. We went here for breakfast. Ordered granola yogurt, toasted fruit cake and avocado toast with tea. I really enjoyed the breakfast mainly as it was healthy and fresh and all made by the staff from scratch. Loved the granola which was very different to what we get in supermarkets as well as the greek yogurt. Would definitely go there again and highly recommended. About the service, the staff is very attentive and makes you feel welcomed. Poynton really has some nice good places to eat and Grade is one of them to start your day with good breakfast.
Grade closed for a private function because we hired and held our granddaughters christening here on 2nd December. Just wanted to say "thank you" to Grade for making a special day extra special. Great food, various diets catered for, our compliments to the chef. Staff and venue brilliant. Highly recommend Grade to anyone considering a special celebration.
Grade is one of the best restaurants in Poynton. They have a lovely menu serving great quality food....I've dined there a few times for breakfast, lunch and dinner and it's been really good every time. I love their eggs benedict and their full English is spot on too...always really fresh ingredients and looks great when it arrives on the plate. I've also eaten at Grade on a Friday night with friends - they've got some fab dishes and a good wine list, as well as a good selection of gins. Even eating at Grade with a toddler in tow was a pleasure - they'll serve anything off the main menu for a 50% discount off the price meaning kids can eat off the 'grown up' menu instead of a restricted kids menu. I love their coffee .... it's their own blend I think..nice bit of attention to detail. Always a friendly smile from the staff, plenty of places to park at the front if you're driving and the terrace is nice in the summer or on a sunny day. The overall ambience of Grade is nice and relaxed with really, really good food. A great place to eat and relax in Poynton.
Great place to have coffee and cake or lunch. It's clean and fresh with comfy seating and a lovely outside area. The food was tasty, beautifully presented and the coffee was smooth. Not many parking spaces, best if you walk there.
Grade is a lovely place to go at any time of day. Yummy breakfasts and fresh and tasty lunch dishes to enjoy either alone or with friends. The atmosphere is relaxed and easy and hours can slip by way too quickly. Definitely recommended.
The place looks really nice, great smell coming from the kitchen. They need to use a pen and paper when taking orders as my son's was wrong. By the time his correct meal came out, we had finished ours. We ordered off the tapas menu. The gambas were bland and the bravas were spicy. Fortunately we like spice, but our son didnt. On a plus, the coffee is great, but £2.95 for a lime and soda is over priced!!
Visited for the 1st time on a Saturday evening and what a gem of a place this restaurant is. Serving tapas with a good wine list the choice was plentiful. Baked cod wrapped in bacon, baked avocado with braised vegetables.... Just examples of 'not your run of the mill tapas'. Beautifully presented.... and the staff delivering these pleasures was equally 1st class. Tracey, our waitress, was charming. Great vibe to the place~we'll definitely be back-all other restaurants in Poynton don't come anywhere near it.
Tapas on Saturday evening was great. A mixed menu of Spanish classics and a few local twists. Tasty food in a relaxed yet chic atmosphere. Will definitely be back for more...
Disappointed... nice surroundings, good menu and reputation. Walked in hungry and sat down for an early dinner be told "Its been a mad Saturday". Was looking forward to my Heidi Pie vegetarian and my girlfriend had ordered the chicken kebab. The presentation of the food when it arrived was lovely, however when tucking into my pie i noticed that the content was steak and not goats cheese as advertised. Pointed this out to the waitress and was told "They all look the same". Ok, easy mistake. However my girlfriend's nan bread was so hard and stale I personally wouldn't have dreamt of putting it on a plate, let alone serving it to a customer. Our main dissapointmant was the attitude of the waitress, who could have easily turned the situation around, but failed. If she had offered a satisfactory replacement instead of being defensive and rude we would of been more than happy, however we ended walking out hungry.
Visited today for late lunch. Good service very attentive. Excellent food - had the baked camembert and the vegetable sharing platter. Really really nice food and nicely presented. Would highly recommend a visit.
