Story

The Blue Crab Restaurant is a seafood restaurant specialising in fish, seafood and local shellfish. We are fully licensed. Customers can also buy Fish and Local Shellfish to Take Away. We also sell fish and chips to take away.
All of our vegetables are grown locally and we make our own desserts. We try and source as much local fish and local drinks as possible.
We are avid supporters of Hugh's Fish Fight.

Long wait, staff on average were ok, one member was rude however. Wait was said to be 15 minutes and was a little longer. When you get a takeaway, you are forced to wait outside, no matter what the weather is like; Not enough space inside anyway. Entire meal tasted reheated, utterly disgusting, but I love fish and chips, it is my favourite meal. Not enough staff either. I genuinely felt sick after less than half of my Cod and Chips. Some chips were mushy, others were burnt, all where extremely starchy. Everything was burnt or something else was wrong. This is definitely not a good takeaway, if I got this inside the Restaurant I would send it back. Would not recommend until business plan has been seriously rethought.

There was a very long wait for food, we were having a takeout. We went off to eat our food only to find when we got to our destination that the order was wrong. This was quickly rectified one we finally got back to The Blue Crab though. It is rather expensive, I probably wouldn't visit here again.

Ordered takeaway medium cod and chips (£7). Long wait outside the restaurant (takeaway orders wait outside) so assumed cooked fresh but chips were really not nice (overcooked and felt like they had been reheated). Fish batter was crispy but overcooked but cod inside was nice. Overall disappointing. If the same dish was served as 'eat in' I would have sent it back. A good fish deserves better.
