What a gorgeous place Nicely decorated with big comfy seats and a good amount of space between each table There is a car park on site first come first served round the back of the building Staff are nice and efficient, seating us at our table as soon as we came in, with table all set and ready A lot of people do reserve a place there so best to do the same instead of rocking up and hoping for the best The menu has a lot of options, all very good and delicious, got to say the boa bun is definitely a favourite of mine and can’t go wrong with scampi! As you can see from the photos you are given very good sized portions, you definitely won’t leave feeling hungry! A great place to sit back and relax with family and friends, highly recommend, love this place
This pub is a little hidden gem. Went there for an end of term work do. The staff were friendly and helpful and the drinks are well priced. We had some food and it was simple but cooked perfectly. We didn't sit in the dining room as we had party room booked, but when we went to get extra drinks the dining room looked lovely and had a nice ambience. I loved the skittles alley and plan to go back with my family.

We had traditional Sunday lunch. It was excellent and good value for money. This was ahead of a funeral reception at this venue. Can't speak too highly of the quality of food at reception, kindness and helpfulness of staff. All our requests were met....they made a difficult day a lot easier
Thoroughly enjoyed our evening out here as a family, food was delicious, staff were ever so friendly and polite. Food is reasonably priced and it felt like we barely had to wait for our meals to come out we had pre-ordered most of the food but added a couple extra bits when we arrived. Will be back here in future when in the area!
A sad day to visit here but the staff were very welcoming. Eating in the evening was a delight, terrific food and great service. Thank you so much for the time and trouble you took on our behalf. Highly recommended.
Went out for a walk up the downs with the kids and decided to head to the black horse for lunch on the way back home. It was very busy and we hadn't booked, but the lovely staff found us a table and bought our drinks to the table straight away. The food was amazing and didn't take long to come out at all. Would recommend 100%
Thank you , thank you, thank you to Jen, Andrew and your whole team. We hired the function room for 25 guests for a post lockdown wedding celebration at the end of December 2022. We had the hot buffet menu and it was amazing. Tasty, hot, beautifully presented, timely and even takeaway boxes were provided at the end, so there was no waste gleefully used by many of our guests. We had the option to decorate the tables prior to the party commencing , which was very useful , though the room looked lovely from Christmas decor also. We were impressed how we were left alone to enjoy our party but equally the owner helped with providing a projector for the wedding video and access to Spotify to play our own music. A wonderful ,successful and enjoyable event. We highly recommend the Black Horse as a place to dine, party and relax.
Really good food, great service and a nice interior. Dog friendly too! Edited to add more raving about this pub. The food is just excellent and you are greeted and served with a big smile. Highly recommend!
Went to The Black Horse, Findon for our club skittles meeting today 20/10/22 and the buffet lunch provided was super! A great choice of ales and very reasonable bar prices plus the staff are friendly. A1 Pub.
