We visited for a Break Dancing event in Liverpool.  It was a great venue, which was easy to find on foot, the main hall is great for a competition and the venues staff/volunteers were friendly and welcoming

A great venue run by and for the community. Living history day to day, year after year.

An amazing place. Our Ukekele Band performed there.

Only ever been to The Blackie for the top Zumba classes,but went last night to see the Christmas panto Beauty and the Beast with family.Thoroughly enjoyed it, very funny and well acted.This is the first time I'm told the Blackie has hosted a production like this.Hope lots more theatre in the future.It worked very well with the audience seated on all four sides of the room and the acting taking place on the ground much better interaction than rows facing a stage.Only problem was at the  interval,drinks and snacks were served at the ground floor entrance which was cramped with no seating and door wide open,but can't really complain for a first production! The staff were really nice and friendly also which made for a pleasant evening.

It looks like an interesting place. But I never went in

Enquired twice now re hire for a music event but never had a reply or callback.

The BlackE is a very special place. one of the last bastions of community focused art projects in this part of the city. we have hired the main hall many times and have other spaces available. get in touch and go have a look for yourself

Lovely historical building. Great place to put on a piece of theatre. They have venues that can cater to all needs large halls where you can rig lights, smaller rooms you can book out for smaller events I recommend hiring this space for get togethers or shows.

I HAVE LOVED THE BLACK-E SINCE I WAS A LITTLE BOY.  IT'S ALWAYS BEEN A BEAUTIFUL BUILDING IN CENTRE OF LIVERPOOL.  A COMMUNITY ASSETT OF LIVERPOOL,  A BEAUTIFUL INTERIOR TO LOOK AT, VIEW EVERYWHERE UPSTAIRS & DOWN.  AN ABSOLUTE PLEASURE TO BE A LICENSEE & HELP IT WHATSOEVER   IT'S A LOVELY,NORMAL.VERY HAPPY, BEAUTIFUL PLACE FOR PEOPLE TO COMMUNICATE WITH EACH OTHER.  THE BLACK-E IS A COMMUNITY,WHOLE OF LIVERPOOL,NATIONAL & INTERNATIONAL BUILDING FOR EVERYONE.

Absolutely beautiful venue; the main dance hall is amazing and has a wonderful energy.  The staff are wonderful.  I really enjoyed 5Rhythms dance class.  Amazing and beautiful energy.
