Friendly village pub with great staff. Food at lunchtime 7 days a week = great value for large portions of fresh home made food. Recently refurbished and well worth a visit.
I came through to the gow as a non local and I visited here and I was welcomed with open arms. Staff are so friendly and nice and the regulars are brilliantly funny. I will be back here next time I’m through in lesmahgow!Food: 4/5
Been living in Lesmahagow for 8 years now and never popped in as I'm not a big pub grub person. Did today for the first time and wasn't disappointed! Great food and great prices. Going to be going far more often now.Food: 5/5
Had googled somewhere for lunch close to Lesmahagow and this place came up. I like to give local independent businesses my money. Went in and asked for a table for 2, older lady asked if we had booked a table, I said no. She then asked if we were ok to eat in the bar. I asked if we could eat in the restaurant the door was open and I could see empty tables she said no..and closed the door, telling us that the empty tables were reserved and waiting for people to arrive. We sat in the bar and ordered our food. The entire time we were there..about 90 minutes and the only 2 people in the bar...not one single person arrived and was shown through to the restaurant. We felt like we were an inconvenience to them. I went to pay the bill and asked if I could pay by card, I was told no as the "kitchen" I'm presuming she meant the bar..only accepts cash so I had to walk to the nearest cash machine. The restaurant accepts cards but we weren't allowed in there. The food was basic and hot, that's about it. Will never go back and will never recommend.
Food was great, had the haddock and will be nipping in to The Black Bull for that instead of ordering in, better value and all the trimmings. Service couldn't have been better. The whole place is immaculate, we will be back again.Food: 5/5
Fantastic wee village pub with a great range of beers, wines and spirits. Great menu for lunch. Recommend the homemade steak pie. Friendly staff and customers who are always very welcoming. All covid regulations adhered to, feels safe and comfortable.
This is a unpretentious pub that serves decent food. The staff were lovely and very efficient and helpful. The bar area was small and certainly had a regular set of locals in. There were two parts to the restaurant part one small with just 4 tables and there was another larger room to the side. The food was what I would call pub grub. It was tasty and reasonably priced. I was pleased to have chosen it as our lunch place on a 6 hour journey.
Great food, friendly staffFood: 5/5
