Your going down hill, the chips were terrible. Luke warm dried out chips that tasted like they had been sat for hours.nThe fish bites were greasy. The peas were good.nYou had a high standard but not anymore.
As someone else said soggy batter, chips were pale and only just cooked. Chips were also very greasy, feel pretty disgusting after eating some. It was never going to win fish and chip shop of the year before it was taken over but it was decent.nnWhoever bought it needs to ignite some passion in the food otherwise you will find people will just not return.nnAlso no longer sells gluten free.
A place I used a few years ago, I thought they had shut when the new coffee cafe opened. To my happy surprise they were still there, tooked away in a corner. Had regular fish and chips and they were the best fish and chips I had tasted for a long while. I just wanted to say thank you they were cooked to perfection. The fish was pure white and batter tasty. Chips were just as I like them. Will definitely call again. Oh! The price was good. Thanks, see you soon.
The food was excellent. The fish had crispy batter yet the fish itself was still moist. I've not been here for a few years because it was not good in the past. We thought we would try it again as our usual fish and chips shop was closed. We were pleasantly surprised. I'll come again.
Been coming to BF for years....was fantastic but new owners have ruined it. Thick uncooked batter on the fish, cheap quality scampi & all cold by the time l get home. Service staff all talking shouting to each other & you have to repeat your order over & over to get them to understand. Won't ever come again.
