I had been reading the reviews earlier and as they were a mix of good and bad, new and old, I decided to go and find out for myself. I was surprised as some of the reviews were quite bad. I understand that it is recently under new management but from what I saw, the present staff are working hard to build back the good reputation that it once had. I must admit the lack of trade and the bad reputation I feel are not down to the new company/staff, it was once a thriving business when Harvester owned it but I am aware that they lost the custom and reputation long before they sold to the new company. My visit today found it clean and yes, it could do with an upgrade as it is looking a little dated and tired but service was quick and the food I had was cooked well, hot, tasty and reasonably priced. The staff were friendly and pleasant to everyone who entered the establishment, providing coloring sheets and crayons to any children that were present. So, all in all, I will be visiting again soon and I urge anyone who is thinking of paying this place a visit and may be put off by the bad reviews to go and see for yourself and don't just take other people's word for it.

The food was OK, wrong fries brought with the meal. Staff didn't bring our drinks, had to go up and ask twice, at which point the gave us empty glasses and didn't tell us where the refill machine was so wandered round looking for it. Didn't tell us about the salad bar where you can help yourself (found out after).

Went yesterday afternoon. Extremely pleasant staff greeted us .Took us to our table. Couldn't do enough to help. Food arrived and was very well presented and tasty. A free salad bar is available. Which was very nice with plenty to choose from. The place including the toilets were extremely clean. Havent been for a while. But will definitely go again Well done

The staff were really friendly and helpful. Came here with my family and the food was lovely. Was nice having a bit of banter with the bar staff also; highly hospitable and I'd strongly recommend for a fantastic and not so expensive meal.

The service was excellent but the salad bar, there was hardly anything to choose from and my favourite red devil sauce was nowhere to be seen either :'(
