Horrendous experience with bar tender. Blonde lady with Bob refused my pal a glass of water bc she hasn’t bought a drink she was celebrating a religious festival and wasn’t drinking I said it’s the law for an alcohol providing premises to provide water free of charge in Scotland as well. She argued and said it’s at her discretion and started going on about water prices - a guy beside us piped up and said she’s me right you have to give her water and she shouted at him saying she’ll kick him out. When I asked for a vodka lemonade she gave me a water which I gave to my friend and when the guy beside us asked for a guiness and water she said no you are too drunk he was clearly not and I said that’s not fair he was just sticking up for me and my pal abt WATER and she was like I don’t care he should leave for sticking his nose in???!!! absolutely shocking tbf and my friend left feeling upset and also questioning if it was racially motivated. Disgusting tbh
One of the best stops on the Subcrawl route, great karoke and the regulars are always up for a laugh !Service: 4/5

Great bar for match days for a few pits before going to the football Food: 5/5
Went here a couple of nights ago, Thursday 26th October, with a large group from 3 different universities. There was only one person at the bar, which is fine, she was very quick and handled the sudden rush very well. However, after buying a drink and coming back to the bar after it had settled down a bit. The server refused to serve me a glass of water because "there's too many people here to be serving you water". My friend 1 tried to get some water later on and she, the same serve, refused to serve her water because "I'm here to make money not waste it serving you water". After this, another friend 2 went up to talk to her and she managed to get water from her but as friend 1 went up to join the conversation between them, she took a sip of the water that was given to friend 2, but the server grabbed the glass out of her friend 1 hand and said "don't take the piss out of me" and tipped it down the sink. Most of us had been drinking for a while at other bars and even though we had bought drinks at this bar and given them money a lot of already, we just wanted some water to hydrate ourselves but this server was very rude about it and refused to serve us water, even though I'm pretty sure it is a legal requirement for a licensed premise to at least provide "tap water fit for drinking". Overall, it was a bad experience and myself and the 40 people that were there won't be returning again.
highly don’t recommend this pub. came here on a subcrawl on thursday the 26th,i don’t drink alcohol so i asked for a glass of water and the bartender female with blonde bob said in a very rude and condescending tone “no i’m here to make money not give it away for free” i stood for a second thinking she was joking and she wasn’t so i went away to sit down and i told my friends of the situation. that was when one of my friends went up and she gave her a drink of water, as she bought alcohol. as i really needed a drink i went up to get a sip, as the glass was already poured, and the bartender grabbed it out my hand and poured it down the sink saying “don’t dare take the piss out me” THAT is wasting water and pouring money down the drain. i later found out she was making racist comments to my friend who got the water. i absolutely dread to think what would happen when someone got too drunk while she was on the bar, she was completely inconsiderate toward us highly don’t recommend coming to this pub, totally unfair to their customers, especially to uni student on subcrawls, so many nice and welcoming pubs around south side and kinning park area. also seeming to forget it is a legal requirement to provide water if asked in an establishment that serves alcohol.
Pretty fun bar. Had a DJ and karaoke on a Saturday night. Good fun
Very good little bar which is in the sub crawl. It was busy but the the 1 person behind the bar seemed to be in control of the queue of people waiting for service. Prices where reasonable place was clean. I would definitely go back if doing another subway crawl and recommend everyone tries it.
Found it to be very friendly. The bar staff worked hard and were very Helpful & socialable. Karaoke didn't compete to x factor standards. . So took part - really enjoyed the experience . A bunch of subway crawl people came in proving to be a very friendly bunch. The locals were very down to earth. Really enjoyed my night.
The karaoke may not be for everyone of an afternoon, but the beers cold, it's not expensive, and all staff and customers are friendly and good fun. What's not to like?
