Smashing lunch experience when dining with a friend today. Lovely, clean pub, plenty of choice of different seating environments and a good menu. Food was piping hot, flavoursome, served in good time and always with a friendly smile. Both bar and table staff were friendly, polite and helpful. Toilets were spotless and fresh too, which is a huge bonus. Really lovely dining experience. Will be back to sample the steak menu!
This pub has just been renovated and reopened in Sep-22. The atmosphere of the pub is a modern twist to a retro bar. A stylish pub, bar and restaurant that's suitable for all. The food menu is large and the price is reasonable. We were also impressed by the large selection of flavoured Gin. This would definitely be my regular if I lived near by.
We were very excited about the reopening! Every visit to the Bell has been wonderful! The staff are always welcoming and make the experience wonderful. The food is delicious! The Wednesday night quiz is great fun and a great way to get everyone involved!
Visited when they reopened and it was lovely, and then popped in for lunch after work and i was very impressed with the service and the food. We had the lunch sandwich deal which was incredible value and very tasty!
Amazing meal & quick service. The decor is beautiful after re opening. Our go to place for a good meal. 100% recommended for great food at a good price. The gin & lemonade was on point too!
Friendly staff,fast service, all food very tasty, found by accident as the place we were going to had an oven issue.. I can't fault it will definitely be back..
A much improved experience from our last visit. Menu pricing and food were both acceptable for this type of establishment. One area where The Bell did excel was in the area of staff professionalism, they were all both polite and very well presented for that I thank them. I am quite happy to recommend this establishment for an enjoyable dining experience.
Everything you’d expect from a good pub in a lovely rural town. Atmosphere, staff, food…just great!
What a positive difference since it’s re-opened. Nachos all freshly cooked and best I’ve tasted from ‘a pub’- totally worth a visit just for them! Toilets very clean, pub now has a fresh, clean contemporary feel. Staff are all positive, friendly and genuinely seem happy to work here. Thank you, very pleasant experience- totally giving the Cross Keys a run for their money as new best pub in Wallingford!
Sunday roast was very dry, only veggies not bad. Sausage with bacon feels like cheap food and overall taste of food not great. Little bit salt and pepper when cooking would make a huge difference. Staff very friendly and helpful so no negative comments on that.
