Nice shop, but don’t get takeaway from here. They charge the same as if you sit in, and you can see from the pictures it was terrible value! £7.90 for a kids sandwich that was one slice of bread with some tuna scattered inside and a handful of cheap tortillas. The adult one wasn’t much better. The roll was nice, but the salad was brown and for £10+ as a takeaway sandwich it was shocking. It was too nice a day to sit indoors, but it’s cheeky to charge so much for such poor offerings. I also asked for a bag for the 3 sets of sandwiches and apparently, despite spending £45 in the shop, this was a hassle for the staff. Service therefore didn’t make up for the poor value.
Wonderful food, ice cream, and service today at the Beehive! Our first time visiting Crail and it won’t be the last - in a fab little village full of charm, the Beehive is a real gem. Joanna is a lovely and generous host who was more than happy to tell us all about the local area and other places to go for dinner. We stumbled across the Beehive looking for ice cream and ended up leaving with crab sandwiches, fish soup, and a new place to recommend to others. Excellent!
We popped by for a browse only to discover the most gorgeous cafe within their shop. Coffee served in artisan pottery, and the most deliciously fresh crab roll, all perfectly picked white meat with a subtle delicate organic salad. Absolutely what we needed then and there.
Lovely coffee and gift shop in beautiful Crail. Service was OK. My coffee, fruit scone, cream and jam were tasty, but freshly whipped cream instead of squinty cream out of a can would've made it faultless. Some interesting bits and pieces in the gift shop and loved all the books!!!
Nice shop, food decentnbut Toby was not welcoming at all. We entered and asked if lunch was being served, he said yes and continued to walk past us and not greet us, I then said can we see a menu and he said the menus are on the table, we sat down and after trying to get his attention he told us to order at the counter in the shop. At the counter I asked what the soup of the day was. If Toby had been more welcoming he could have shown us the tables told us to order at the counter and told us the soup of the day instead of walking around like we were in his way.
