A lovely little shop tucked in the heart of Crail. Well signposted, with lots of amazing pieces, which I thought to be reasonably priced. The most fascinating bit for me however was reading the process of making the pottery, and watching the crafters in action.
I simply adore visiting Crail Pottery. On arrival you will see the potters at work, the main shop is up metal stairs, quite steep but my 88yo Mum on left in the photo can still manage the steps. So many beautiful collections of pottery to view and purchase. I'm collecting two different sets and purchase more pieces on each visit. Highly recommend visiting Crail Pottery.
This is such a lovely pottery! The pieces are gorgeous and the staff are so friendly! I spoke to Stephen and also a wonderful woman at the till who I could’ve talked to all day about spaniels! I bought a lovely little coastal cottage keepsake ornament along with two lovely mugs.
Amazingly beautiful, vibrant designs. Destined to become your favourite mug! Customer care is truly outstanding.
I'm happy to agree with the other reviewers who have recognised the qualities of this place. Lovely products made right there. The people working there are local, they believe in what they do and customers can literally watch pottery being practiced in front of them. I bought 3 super garden terra cotta pots that look like they will last longer than I will. Boxes and packing materials were quickly found to keep them safe in transit. Scottish artisans creating useful and attractive items work here. Of course it's more expensive than buying mass produced stuff that's been transported from the other side of the planet. In this case you get what you pay for.
