Great food! Generous portion size! Fine selection of ale and lager. Recommended to anyone in the area. Plenty of seating, including very large tables for big families. Outside looks a bit drab, but who cares when the inside looks so awesome.

The food was extremely flavoursome however the drinks were very overpriced. Portions were very generous however, it wasn't made very clear where you ordered the food when entering the restaurant. Apart from these few things, overall very good experience.  Would highly recommend it to anybody looking for a homely flavour and hearty meal

I live local to Newport where this restaurant is to be found & try to pop in as often as possible.
Will even go shopping with the wife as an excuse to visit. 
The food is excellent every time, surprising how quick it arrives, too hot some times. Love the home made pie but it's to large to finish. Would prefer a half portion but they don't do them.
Relaxing atmosphere & good interesting decor.
Yes the drinks are priced a bit high but it's a better standard than Wetherspoons & more choice.
Parking can be a bit hard but dead easy if you have your own boat !
Give it a try don' t think you will be disappointed unless it's a mince beef pie. :-)

Always guaranteed a decent meal. Good varied menu, also features a good range of vegetarian dishes. Good range of beers, wines and local and guest ales. Seating outside with views over the harbour. Would recommend a visit.

Excellent food, good portions, wide choice. We were there on a freezing cold Sunday evening in February,  nice cosy pub, good atmosphere. Nice location on the Riverside.
