The Bank House is a large Wetherspoons pub in the centre of Cheltenham. It has an upstairs space and bar and a downstairs space. There is a disabled toilet on the ground floor and most toilets are in the basement. Good value food and drink.
It was OK. That's probably the best that I could/can say. Food was reasonably priced, drinks were typical Weatherspoon prices, good value as to be expected and very much the norm. Yes it was busy & yes it was gone 2pm, but there were numerous tables that hadn't been cleared & generally it felt cluttered and untidy. Picking a table that was free from 'dead glasses' was the challenge of the day. Our drinks arrived promptly and our meals followed shortly afterwards. The food filled a gap & was hot when it arrived but was nothing special; maybe my expectations were/are too high. A bit disappointing really plus the place is looking past it's best & could do with a refurb or an injection of fresh decor.
Very pleasant in every way. Attractive clean pub. Good service. I had fresh fruit salad with ice cram at 10 pm and for £4.19 it was very fresh and plenty for two. The prices are very attractive too!
We visited for lunch on a Sunday at about 12.15. Upon trying to order on the application there were multiple items that couldn't be ordered and so were removed from the order at checkout. We tried some different items with the same effect. Then we went to the bar and found out they had no fish and only about half of their burger ingredients. Once we actually managed to order some food it was standard Wetherspoons fare, satisfactory and fairly cheap. We'll probably stick to the Moon Under Water at the other end of the High Street in future!
Visited on my way to Cheltenham racecourse, it was very busy and difficult to find a table but the service was excellent considering how busy it was. Had breakfast delivered in 5 mins and was served very quickly. I'm sure it is a nicer pub on non race days
Just your typical Spoons',being Cheltenham week this pub was extremely busy, although staff coped well. We had a selection of breakfast items in our party each day. All were more than acceptable. Unfortunately this pub looks and feels a bit tired. The cleanliness of the toilets leaves a lot to be desired, and although that's down to the animals that use them a more regular and rigorous cleaning rota is required. Overall though staff were really helpful.
Food and drinks were good and came very quickly, but some food was burnt. ladies toilets could do with regular cleaning as only one was clean and useable for the night.
Went to Cheltenham to visit a friend. Wanted to find somewhere for lunch, for a group of 6 4 adults and 2 teenagers Everyone find something for lunch on the menu, most of the dishes included a drink alcoholic or soft drink options Impressed with this, I've never had food in a Wetherspoons before, only been for a drink! Food was of a good standard and didn't take too long to arrive. It was hot and tasty, would have food again in a Wetherspoons but there aren't any local to where I live. Which is a shame. Sorry no pictures of the food, totally forgot
Very good food that was served quickly, Jake looked after us and was a polite, courteous and presentable young man who looked after us well.
Lively Wetherspoons, usual competitive prices and good atmosphere. What's not to like. P.s Great fresh fruit salad, with Real quality fruit
