The Balcony Restaurant & Tea Room

Balcony serves modern Greek food in an elegant setting. The restaurant is located in a beautiful area underneath the Acropolis. I believe it would be even better during summer on the rooftop. As for the food, I would say it was mediocre. Nothing special and overpriced in my opinion. Top plates: spicy fried eggplant sticks, seabream Flat plates: black angus rib steak Service was good and the staff were polite and helpful.

This is a lovely restaurant tucked away in a very cute and quaint part of central Athens, we absolutely loved this restaurant. We got burrata plate, Mediterranean salad, grilled octopus and best of all shefalia plate and a bottle of white wine. All of it was excellent, it’s overlooking a busy street and has beautiful golden hour lighting - very pretty! Would highly recommend for a dinner. Staff is super friendly too.

Went here because of good reviews to find our experience was poor. Arrived and given a table on the balcony swiftly, ordered drinks and arrived quickly. Waited a little while to order, ordered 2 starters, one came and waited for other but didn't come so we shared first starter once finished waited for my starter which again we shared due to the wait. Finished starters and waited another 40 minutes for mains which is poor by any standards but when they arrived with an apology for the delay because of other customers my meal lamb was stone cold and my partners pasta was hot. The lamb was cold, the zucchini was cold and sauce was cold but lamb did taste nice although cold but not what I wanted. Overall very poor experience and no compensatory reduction as you would expect from a reputable restaurant. Won't be back.

Amazing atmosphere, great location. The food is amazing!!! Very special taste. We ate the shrimp ravioli, calamari and the sea bream. Highly recommended.

We, like everybody else, have been welcomed by the owner with a warm welcome. The overall surrounding & scenery and how you as a guest are treated from the second you enter this place, is magic! You are guided through the menu by the chef himself. He specifically asks for your personal favourites and What from the menu could match your taste. Everything which has been brought to our table, including the wine, was a perfect match! Long story short: This place should be on your list and if the owner, staff and chef can keep their level, you will for sure be very delighted to experienced this place! In addition the owner also recommended some roof top bars to us, which had been awesome as well! Thank you!

This place is a must in Athens. The staff treat you with love and care. The cocktails are wonderful. You are able to have a rooftop experience in a more intimate setting. Balcony serves modern Greek food in an elegant setting. The menu revolves around sophisticated interpretations of Greek cuisine. For two people, I recommend to share two starters and one main dish. My partner and I had the gnudi, stuffed onion and grilled lamb rump. All three were fantastic, as was the Greek take on tiramisù that we had for dessert. If it's not too hot, try to get a table on the restaurant's rooftop terrace. Expect to pay around €30 per person. Highly recommended.

A nice place for foodies. Creative Ideas, nice diversity, good ingredients, nice atmosphere. One of the better places in Athen. I highly recommend the eggplant fries. Incredible good.

Nice place, tasty food, competent service - a good option in the acropolis area we booked to combine with an opera viewing at Herodion.
