I have been to back rooms a few times now and ever single time I’ve been faced with severe homophobia. wether it’s having my mates refused entry because of the way they dress- despite there being no clear explicit dress code stating women have to dress more femme and seeing men wearing the exact same outfits inside, or the looks given by people is any queer people kiss. Although it isn’t fully the venues fault, I wouldn’t ever call Backroom a safe or near to a safe space.
Me and my friend have a great night every tike we go there. Big thanks to Michael for looking after us the BEST door man!! Great atmosphere, amazing music, friendly staff definitely worth more than one visit if your partying in Leeds!!
Staff were the norm ,standard service. Drinks really expensive for the venue typeciroc n coke-£6:50 Just didn't like the energy of the place,very dark energy !!!!!! It's more of a club that u go hang out with drug dealers n girls looking 4 guys with a nice watch on!!!!!! It's that kind of club Better.........I've heard when an event is on!!!!! People are too busy standing around mean mugging, rather than having a dance Age range is 19/35
Amazing night out with great music and vibes. I’d like to give a special mention to the mixed raced guy at the bar, quality service, great chat and overall made our night 100 times better. Great vibes and a great conversation. Thank you mate!
Avoid this place especially if you’re a woman, there is so many men of all sorts pushing in to the girls trying to touch us and be as close as possible even tho we kept moving away and at some point a group of men surrounded me and my friends and wouldnt leave. One guy followed us everywhere in the bar trying to speak to us and when we said no he started begging. There was another guy who started swearing when we ignored him, bouncers stand outside doing nothing having their own little party while there are dangerous people inside, We left after 20 minutes it was that bad. Please avoid it
I missed a step while going down the stairs and ended up here. My friend also got here but when we started getting chased by an entity he put on the Mr. Beast song and all of the entities and employees came to our area and started dancing. It was very fun but then We fell into this weird IKEA building. I can't find the exit, so I would think it's just a normal Ikea but the employees like kind of weird ngl. Can't break the ceiling so idk how to leave.
Become such a regular customer at backrooms the staff and security are soo nice, always so welcoming and friendly never fail to make our evenings spectacular. Would highly recommend my favourite place in leeds.

backrooms was so good, my friend got really drunk and the bouncers just took such good care of her can really tell they’re such lovely caring place. Only place in leeds where i trust the staff!!! so good.
At first bouncers where lovely and staff was very friendly . However when I left there was a different doorman on the door. I told him I left my purse inside and he wouldn’t let me back in. I asked if he could come with me to go get it as I just genuinely wanted it back and I wouldn’t be able to get home if I didn’t have it. He proceeded to tell me he didn’t care. So obviously I tried going in to get it . I understand stopping somone from trying to go back in but grabbing them by the throat and pushing them isn’t the way to go about it. I’d of understood if I was being aggressive but even the bouncer that was next to him told him it was to much and asked if I was okay. Luckily I was able to get it back. But I wouldn’t come here again and advise if you do decide to go here…just don’t
