Great food and wine, cask ales, open fires... A real country pub in a great rural location.
Nestled in Pendle's magnificent countryside, located on the Lancashire-Yorkshire border above the village of Laneshaw Bridge, this rural coaching inn was originally built in 1725.
Following our very careful and sympathetic restoration, the inn, with stone floors, original beams and real fires, welcomes all for dwelling, drinking and dining. In a relaxed setting with friendly service, we offer seriously good local ingredients and fayre, cooked well and accompanied by a noteworthy selection of real ales and good wines. The inn has been awarded four stars and has ten luxury en-suite bedrooms with the latest facilities, and a bedroom located on the ground floor dedicated to those who struggle with the stairs.
The inn has extensive function and wedding facilities, and is licensed to conduct civil-marriage ceremonies. There is also ample parking provided at the rear, along with space for patrons to arrive by helicopter.
The inn is happy to accommodate well-behaved pets and children of all ages almost everywhere. In fact, such a lot of dogs are now regular customers that the odd cat may prove problematic!
Dining at the inn is available in three areas, with the full menu available in each. The kitchen is open every day from 12 noon until around 9pm.
