I have visited twice in the last fortnight as it’s such a lovely place! The lady who owns the shop is so welcoming and very friendly and helpful. My almost 2 year old has very much enjoyed his painting here. The selection of pottery items to paint is brilliant. There are money boxes, little animals, plates, mugs, ceramic boxes, tiles, decorations and more! There is a great selection of choices of paint colours which are all ready made up. You just select the colour from the pre-fired tile to see the colour that it will be once fired and then paint! The price includes the item, the painting and the firing, so there are no nasty surprise charges, which is refreshing. You can take as much time as you need to paint your item and she will help with any writing required. Then it takes 1 week to have the item fired and it’s ready and all perfect for you. There is a ‘cafe’ which serves hot and cold drinks, cakes, sweets and crisps but nothing more substantial.

We have been with our grandson twice in the last year. It is so therapeutic, the place is spotless and they make a great cup of coffee. You return a week after your painted model has been fired, the results are remarkable. Great for all ages.

I took my daughter for a crafty afternoon and we had a really lovely time. The staff were really friendly and its a really clean and pleasant environment to be in, plus they have such a variety of pottery to paint even for little ones so we both kept busy. Just beware that the pottery has to be kiln fired so you have to pick your works up a week later but I would definitely recommend it, if you fancy an alternative to the usual play centre afternoon.
