Quirky Vintage Tea Shop

Story

Hi, Bill and Wendy Gill here X
We have at long last begun to realise our dream of running a little vintage tea shop. The Stables has bags of character and we hope you will love it as much as we do.We intend to create a little haven, serving cream teas, afternoon teas along with daily homemade cakes and savoury specials, all with a fusion of vintage themes from the 1940's, 50's and 60's. Once we find our feet we intend to introduce parties for birthdays(from Grandma's to grand-daughters), baby showers, hen do's... in fact any excuse for a party !

Found this little gem whilst on a walk about in Chorley and my pregnant friend wanted afternoon tea. What a brilliant place with lovely staff. Nothing was too much trouble and a special thank you to Freya. Excellent staff and the best afternoon tea I have had. 100% recommend. Thanks again
I recently had the pleasure of experiencing afternoon tea at Old Stable Vintage Tea Room, and it exceeded all expectations. Priced at £22 per person, the value is exceptional. It served as a delightful venue for a baby shower, offering an extensive array of sandwiches and cakes. The free tea refills were a nice touch, and the availability of complimentary parking on Sundays made the visit even more enjoyable. Nestled down a charming side street, the quaint location adds to the overall appeal. The decor is lovely, and the staff, adorned in old-fashioned aprons and head scarfs, truly contribute to the vintage atmosphere. I highly recommend Old Stable Vintage Tea Room for a delightful and memorable experience.
Found this stylish tea room on the internet and decided to pay it a visit. We weren't disappointed and the food and drinks we had were excellent quality. We opted for a cream tea and a blueberry scone with lemon curd and cream with two cappuccinos. They were great and the service was quick too. There is a good selection of food on the menu and the cakes looked very inviting too. We'll definitely return, albeit that the Old Stables is twenty minutes drive away from our home. Now we know where it is and have found the best car park West Street Short Stay we can get there quite easily. Parking: West Street Short Stay car park is free for an hour or £1 for up to three hours parking and the Old Stables Tea Rooms is only a few yards from the car park.
Excellent lunch. Fantastic homemade Scotch broth soup packed with vegetables, pearl barley and lamb. Such an interesting space. So many nice things to look at. You could be miles away in the countryside but here you are right in the heart of Chorley!Food: 5/5
Lovely food, staff and atmosphere. A great place to relax and escape the real world for a while. My favorite xFood: 5/5
Cosy place hidden away around the side of a row of houses. Very wide range of teas, coffees and traditional old fashioned cordials, along with what looked to be a selection of delicious cakes - I've only tried the Victoria sponge so far, and that was excellent. Very child friendly.Food: 5/5
Our first visit and we’ll be back. Friendly staff. Our afternoon tea was delicious, well filled sandwiches and large cake portions. The little sweet treats served with it were a nice touch. We added a cup of homemade soup as well. Excellent quality of food and very good value for money.Food: 5/5
Having read previous reviews I visited with my cousin. We didn't have the full afternoon tea, so settled for the standard cream tea option. We were not disappointed ! The atmosphere was wonderful as was the service! It is a hidden gem, but one worth seeking out. The chocolate strawberries were amazing

A lovely quaint tea rooms with a really good vibe. The afternoon tea was delicious with a wide choice of sandwiches and cakes. Plenty of tables upstairs and down. Lots of memorabilia to look at too . Parking: West street car park is right at the back of the tea rooms.
