Large car park at the rear. We went for lunch on a Sunday with two young children and 7 adults. Service was friendly and relaxed. Food was very tasty, especially the Yorkshire pudding wrap. Kids' meals were nice and even did something off the menu for one of our little people. Puddings were equally tasty. Nice courtyard next to restaurant and large area at rear to sit. Would recommend the food here.
Had a lovely relaxing stay at this hotel. The food was nice, the service was good. The room was relatively clean, just a few minor issues.nOverall I would stay again, beautifully quiet and peaceful. Had a great night sleep.nStaff were very helpful.
We stayed for a long weekend, visually the place is beautiful & well laid out, lots of parking around the back & staff are really friendly. Our room however had a broken shower, a bathroom door that wouldn't close, our high street view was loud at night, we couldn't open our window so very hot, a very uncomfortable bed and a TV that was mounted towards the door that couldn't be rotated so you had to sit on the end of the bed sideways to see it! Wasn't thought out well & no fridge so no access to cold drinks unless you go to the bar.nThe food is okay at best, the breakfast was not great, we had watery/dry fry ups and & dinner weren't worth what you paid, my partners steak was very small, under cooked and not seasoned for over 25£ we expected better, our sharer started was only 3 chicken wings food 7£. it was okay but disappointing, it's 3x the price of a premier inn but isn't worth the price in all honesty, The hotel came really well recommended but we were left disappointed, we'd rather have gone somewhere else instead.
I wouldn’t waste my money again to be honest.nI had my sons christening reception yesterday.nWent there in the morning to put some table decorations down, to find only 25 seats… yet I emailed them and told them I wanted to book afternoon tea for 22 adults and 7 children, that totals 29 people did they think I was going to sit the rest on the floor? When we asked for another table we was told that’s what we booked for… it’s literally in black and white on an email. We came back and luckily they did add another table.nI had planned with them to bring the afternoon tea out 30 minutes after we arrived so we had chance to settle in, they didn’t bring it out on time and I had to ask for the food.nSame with tea and coffee, it was left to stew on the bar and go cold and we was blamed for this and told it’s because our guests went to the bar, we went to the bar because we was made to wait for our things, the girl on the bar was alone and had to serve drinks to not only my entire guests, but also the main restaurant which was very busy. Understaffed to say the least.nThe cucumber sandwiches had butter in instead of cream cheese, not sure what kind of afternoon tea puts butter in them but none I’ve ever been to until yesterday.nThe children’s afternoon tea is advertised as coming with milkshake and a pot of squash. We didn’t get the squash full stop point blank and had to again, ask for the milkshakes- by the time I had realised they didn’t bring the squash I was beyond far too annoyed to mention it because of the abysmal service and the way members of my family including an elderly lady was spoken to…nI emailed Admiral Rodney to make a complaint, I decided to leave out the table situation because I didn’t want to nit pick however the reply I got was basically in so many words - the staff have said otherwise and as for the children’s afternoon tea you pick between milkshake and squash so false advertising then? but as a good will gesture we will give you £80 room hire back. I paid £500 basically to spend the day unhappy with the entire thing start to finish.nA member of the family was actually going to book a large wedding with them until they saw how shocking it all was yesterday, so missed out on a very large volume of money due to sloppiness and bad attitude.nOh I was also told I was asked multiple times if everything was okay, I have since found out they asked other guests if things was okay, they didn’t pay for any of this and didn’t feel comfortable enough to say anything, staff should be asking the person that booked and paid for it and since as I kept having to ask for things I’ve paid for, ages after they should’ve arrived, I’m sure they gathered I wasn’t going to be happy.nAlso forgot to put this in my email but a guest was served a beer that tasted like cleaning chemicals. Just a completely awful experience overall.nSalmon sandwiches was lovely though on a better note.
Room was clean and functional and satisfied our requirements for a 2 night stay.nThe staff were very friendly and helpfull.nLots of car parking space at the rear.nWe didn't use the restaurant area so can only comment that it looked nice.nWe would book again in the future if we were returning to that area.
