I've been here a few times. Great selection of tasty Thai food. Although this is in Silverburn, if you are given a table at the back, it has a bit more atmosphere and less passers-bys than the other restaurants in the vicinityFood: 5/5

Great food, lovely atmosphere, good service, very kind and friendly staff. We have had chicken, noddle street style, beef curry, prawns pineapple friedrice, chicken curry, and all dishes was delicious. There's lots of vegetarian options on the menu, and this place is wheelchair accessible and kids friendly.
We had a few vouchers to use from Christmas and this place did not disappoint. We are regular visitors to Thailand so we have a good understanding of the culture and food. We ordered the Tom Yum prawn soup which is really 2 portions and they give you 2 bowls and spoons with this dish and it was superb. We had chicken satay on skewers with peanut sauce and that was lovely. Mains we had Pad Thai chicken and spicy Thai basil fried rice with minced chicken and both where very good. We also had a few deserts, sticky toffee pudding and chocolate fudge cake and the helpings where really generous. All the helpings for each dish where actually quite large. The cocktails where nice and they do a drink I have not had before called Franklin and sons with a few different flavours of sparkling fruit juice which was lovely. Waiting staff where lovely and chatty... Chatted to the lady about Thailand and she gave us tips as to where to go next time. We will be back to Thaikun for sure. Parking: Within the silverburn mall
Fantastic place!! Super friendly staff, cool ambience, great food and drinks. Food was absolutely delicious, amazing quantity and presentation!! Particularly their fried rice, Thaikhun starter platter, stir fries, all yumm! I would rate the place a 10/10. Definitely worth revisiting :Food: 5/5
I have never try Thai curry before. It was good, but not my favorite. Chicken wings was very good. Instagrammable place. It wasn’t busy at daytime. Waiter forgot us so we waited little bit more than it’s normal.
First time in here, I ordered the chicken with creamy/spicy sauce with noodles. It was amazing, have never tasted anything like it. My husband ordered the pork with sticky rice. He loved it but left a lot of rice as there was no sauce to eat it with. The staff took a long time to take our order, people came in after us and were served before us. The woman who took our money just asked if it was a card payment, nothing else. I was about to leave a tip when I noticed there already was a surcharge on the bill. I would go back if I thought the staff would be more pleasant!
Not a great experience, this was our 4th visit to it traveling all the way from Edinburgh. Apart from the papaya salad, everything else was a waste of money. We used to live Thiakhun, but I think everything has changed. Right from the waiting staff who often are not present or forget to bring something or even be bothered to attend customers. Apparently there was no chef, and perhaps they are taking shortcuts. The chicken was not fresh at all, tasted really funny processed, so we changed everything to prawns. The jungle curry tasted like tomyum soup. Not what you we expect from such an established restaurant to serve. They have really fallen from grace, and not worth the money you spend for good food, time or experience.
We visited the Silverburn restaurant on 8th August - we are frequent visitors to this venue. 1. Ordered drinks and my wife’s Irn Brew, which was from a bottle, was completely flat. The staff reluctantly replaced it and the replacement drink was fine. This is something that we have experienced elsewhere recently with bottled Irn Brew and this has not reflected in our assessment above. We suggest that the restaurant refers this information to AG Barr as the manufacturer of the drink. 2. One of the main courses my wife’s favourite crispy chicken with cashew nuts in a roasted red chilli sauce was delivered to our table. The sauce was entirely different both in colour and taste; it resembled more of a soy sauce and was extremely salty. As a result, this dish was not finished and was a great disappointment. The manageress explained that they were “testing a new supplier” and removed the dish from our bill without being asked. That said, this experience ruined our visit and will be a major consideration in whether we visit the restaurant again. It was not an enjoyable experience.
Went for a friend’s birthday meal. The food was extremely delicious and the decor is quirky and cool. The service was excellent and food was reasonably priced. We had given the manager a cake to bring out at the end for our friend and the highlight was when the entire team came through singing and playing drums to wish our friend. It may seem like a small thing but it was rather special for our friend. Will definitely go back to try more dishes.
