Delivery was an hour late after 2 calls to the restaurant each time being promised it was on it’s way. When did you stop adding gravy to the chicken fried rice? It was so dry it was inedible and tasteless. Other dish ordered was awful as well, I used to love this place, never ordering again.Food: 1/5
Updated April '24. This was our favourite Chinese takeaway for years, had a 5 star rating on here to back that up, but not any more. First time ordering this year and the food was terrible. Delivery took well over an hour, food was stone cold on arrival. Salt & chilli chicken was fatty, stringy and the supposed lightly crisped batter was thick and soggy. Spring rolls were swimming in cold, congealing oil, chips were cold and spoiled, rice was stale and tasteless. Chicken & char siu pork dish was drier than a sandal, and less tasty. They have either changed ownership or replaced all of their kitchen staff. The lack of quality of ingredients was clearly a big factor in just how poor this was.The poor quality of food was simply unrecognisable when compared to last year. Prices have gone way up, quality has gone way down. Go elsewhere, not worth anyone paying for this rubbish!

I ordered sweet and sour chicken balls in batter, the batter was doughy, and thi sauce was so thin as to be almost tasteles. Not impressed. I have used them before, their meals were usually a decent standard, but not this time

My boyfriend and I get a Chinese quite a lot from Cathay Cuisine. We honestly couldn’t fault it at all. From the lovely lovely staff, immaculate shop, and amazing food! We look forward to our Chinese always. Thank you so much guys!
My girlfriends mum thought she'd treat us with a takeout, something we hardly do so we were all throughly looking forward to it. The delivery arrived 5 minutes early so I can't fault that part of the meal in any way. But thats where the positives end. The prawn toast we got was simultaneously soggy and burnt, a throughly disgusting combination that was not helped by the complete lack of flavour. The prawn fried noodles were badly cooked prawns inside bland, deep fried nests of noodles that weren't even so much as salted let alone flavoured in any way, all onto a soggy pile of chips. Finally and worst of all were the dumplings, we got the mixed so not quite sure what the all were, the first ones were okay but the 'meatball'? Dumplings were completely raw, we couldn't eat any more of the food after we saw them as we were all digusted. They must have been cooked for all of 5 seconds as they were fully pink inside. The hot and sour soup was okay. I would recommend looking somewhere else to find dinner.
