In July 2012, Chaophraya opened Europeâ€™s largest Thai restaurant in Glasgow! Set in one of the cityâ€™s most iconic buildings, The Townhouse on Buchanan Street, it offers guests the ultimate Thai dining experience in a spectacular setting.

PALM SUGAR

Before or after your meal, venture to the Palm Sugar bar lounge which serves a range of delicious cocktails, wines and beers in a relaxed atmosphere invigorated by contemporary music. Great food and lovely people.  I phoned tonight with a query prior to an order and was dealt with superbly.  Order made over the phone, ready at pickup time and devoured at home.  A flavour filled dinner at home was what we wanted and is what we got.  Thanks to Chris appreciated your call back and the team.

We ordered a takeaway for my birthday for click and collect. I was worried it would be cold by the time we got it home as we’re a good 20 mins away but it was still very warm! Ordering and collection was really easy, I’d highly recommend 

The drinks here are great, and the desserts are fantastic! If you are tired of those European desserts, you must try this  one! And if you like spicy flavours, Tom Yum soup is made for you

Sweet Jesus. The food here is incredible! The pork for starters was super yum. The duck was so so so delicious. Pad Thai was spot on, tempura prawns were delish and the massaman curry with sous vide lamb was just incredible. Would eat here every day if I didn't end up fat

Great range of vegetarian dishes. I love the corn cakes, coconut rice and mushrooms stir fry. Ordered via deliveroo in advance and it was good, although I'm pretty sure the order was missing one of the dishes that was meant to be included with the vegetarian platter

Consistently great service and food in a beautiful setting.  I also attended their cooking class in Edinbugh & it was amazing! Great vegetarian & vegan menu.

Great food, cocktails are a little pricey but lovely. Atmosphere is good and the building itself is stunning. Friendly staff.

Beautiful & elegant dining experience. The food was delicious and beautifully presented. The staff are simply Awesome! Very attentive & friendly. Highly recommend for a Thai delight experience of fresh and aromatic food. Top class and will be back.
