Nice, cosy little eatery. Decent prices, and good food. Settings are nice and do not have service charge which is always a bonus. Reservations are vital to ensure you get a place, as seating is limited.
Very nice authentic Thai food at very reasonable prices. We have visited a number of times and always enjoyed. On the most recent visit I had the red curry which was rich, sweet, savoury and spicy just like Thai food should be. It had a great depth of flavour. The portion was a good size as was the rice. Cant fault the place at all.
Let's start with the good - the service was prompt and polite. It was Friday night and the waitress was good. The reality of the food - terrible. The starters were obviously bought in and mostly deep fried resulting in tasteless muck. Our mains nothing crazy - chicken green curry and prawn pad Thai. Well I only had 5 prawns on a mountain of obviously generic pre-prepped noodles. The Thai green curry had no pea aubergines. Good flavour but long way from authentic flavouring. This place must be kept open by tourists from the many hotels and so they simply have such a disdain for quality food it doesn't matter if people ever come back. As a new resident nearby I know I won't be making a return trip - and advise others to not waste money on even a single trip. Disappointing.
Lovely Thai food, found the place through tastecard, so it was amazing value as the food were 50% off. Love the red curry with coconut rice. Will definitely return. The only down side is the reservation, they are not very flexible with time and I have not once been able to book the time I want, it has always been half an hour later or so even though when we arrive, the place is always empty as we go in early.
I visited Thai Aubergine yesterday with my partner for Valentine's Day. Firstly, I would like to thank the staff as they were very attentive and welcoming. However, the food was okay, quite bland and very oily. The service and staff made our visit, we were even given a lovely gift of chocolate presented as a flower, which was a really nice finish to the evening.
After finding the hotel restaurant was closed, I decided to try here, but what a mistake. I should have listened to the other reviews. Staff that are incompetent and food that had too much fish sauce. To add to my frustration they do not accept card, I did not find this out until I wanted to pay. While I appreciate that many people still carry cash with them, I do not. This is London and 2017, so why isn't there a card machine? At no point was this made clear to me nor was there any signs about. This makes you think whether it's for tax avoidance. Overly priced s*** hole.
Very disappointed at the level of service I received. The delivery took far too long 1hr 30mins and the staff had the audacity to blame 'the system'. When I asked for a discount the person was rude! Alongside I was left dissatisfied by the food..I was practically drinking oil . Had some chicken stir fry. Highly do not recommend this so called Thai restaurant!
This used to be my favourite local Thai. Unfortunately its lost its spark. The staff are rude and the food has become average. When paying full price, my guests and I had to endure the staff have a full on row whilst we were eating. Needless to say I refused to pay full price. I have been in there with a taste card which offers a 50% disc on the food. Suprise, suprise the minute you mention you have a tastecard, you barely get acknowledgment. Wait ages to get served. And the finally straw.... get half the portion. I won't be going back.
Disgusting middle aged white staff member who may have been an owner was smoking his e-cigarette at a table when I sat down. He showed absolutely no consideration for customers who made it clear they did not like it. It may not be illegal but it was revolting. I requested take away as a result but should have just left. The food was tasteless and disappointing and on the whole this was a bad experience. Would never go back.
Good customer service. And fresh ingredient with all type of selection to put into your hotpot. Highly recommend to give a try this fun food experience! ! I also had flower tea, it not only testy , it also looks so beautiful !! loved it
