We visited the Tesco Superstore in Taunton on Friday, January 23, 2026, and were fortunate to have Maggie as our checkout assistant. She was genuinely friendly, kind, and helpful, and we really enjoyed our quick chat with her as we were checking out. It’s rare to meet someone who makes a simple shopping trip such a pleasant experience. Maggie truly brightened our day, and she will be the reason we look forward to returning.
Very dirty and poorly managed. They seem to love moving all the products around so you can’t find what you want. There is limited selection of products compared to some supermarkets. It’s okay, but could be better.
Worst experience, no customer service, there is a lot of manipulation and cheating going on in store. Customers are getting cheated by the name of club cards . And they should not charge for baggage since there is their company name on the carry bag. It seems like we are giving free advertisement for them after we paying . Either they should provide a plain carry bag and charge for it , or else they should give for free if there is thier company name on it
This was the email I sent to tesco as the behaviour from some of there staff is disgusting! hello, I am emailing to put in a complaint which I would never normally do but what happened earlier today was so rude! I went into tescos earlier today on my lunch break from Taunton college and the way your staff spoke to me and other people was disgusting! I went to go get a meal deal for my lunch and got a red bull as a drink and when I was in the que to pay, a member of staff come over and said that I could not have it and I asked why because I have ID and also showed her my id, which is the requirement to buy the product. Also she was just so so rude and took it out of my hands. Also my friend that was infront of the que was also going to buy one and she did the same to her and when my friend said that she has ID and proved it to the two girls that were working on the self service checkout and they said to her that she shouldn’t even try arguing with them because she won’t win and also said if she doesn’t like it to go to another shop it’s easy peasy then also continued to go off laughing and talking about it. I think it would benefit them to do a customer relations course. One of them was in a wheelchair with dark hair and the other was a young blonde girl. There was also multiple people in the que that got the same treatment. Looking forward to hearing from you, thank you!
We are currently on holiday in the area and popped into this store to get our supplies. Our trolley was loaded up and we were expecting to have a stressful experience unloading and packing at the till. However Debs the supervisor and Grace who was on the till were so friendly and helpful!! They assisted us to unload our trolley, fetched a second trolley to carry our bags to the car. We were amazed as Debs even pushed one of the trolleys to the car and helped put our bags into the boot. Such wonderful service- thank you very much Debs and Grace!!
