I called into this store a few weeks ago and did some shopping. I then went into the café and ordered some food & a coffee for a rest I am 72 years of age then went for a short walk before driving home. The service in the café was slow but the food was ok.nTwo weeks later I got a £40 fine from Horizon Parking who manage the Tesco car park for staying longer than 3 hours!!!!nI had noted my arrival time at the car park and I was absolutely sure that I didn't stay over the 3 hour allotted time. However, with little or no proof and Horizon,s threats of a bigger fine if not paid within 14 days, I had no option but to pay. Probably the most expensive stop at a Tesco car park I'll ever have.nBeware parking at this store!!!!!!!!!!
The sound system has been broken for many years. Seems to be half the speakers crunching horribly on any bass notes. Makes me wince. A minor detail, but annoying.
This store has everything you need!nWould Highly recommend.
I came into this store at about 7 a.m. today 1st August 2023. I got my basket of shopping and went to the till which was open. There was one customer in front of me who was all but finished, paying at the checkout. I was about to put my items on the conveyor belt, when the assistant gesticulated for me to go to the next till. His facial expression was not polite and he said nothing. He was quite dismissive and I was made to feel that I was in the wrong for trying to use his checkout. It would be interesting to see if this could be seen on a camera recording.nnI went to the next checkout only to be told quite abruptly and directly that it was closed and that it didn’t open till 7.30 a.m.nnI expressed my disappointment and went to the self-service checkout. The last checkout assistant came after me asking if she could do anything. The first checkout assistant did nothing, trying to act as if he wasn’t there. Another woman came loudly tried to justify what had happened as the checkout did not open until 7.30 a.m.nnAs usual, the self-service checkout played up after all thisnnAm I expected to accept all this? This is not customer service, it’s penury. I will not be back unless absolutely necessary. Customers do not need this at 7 a.m.
5 Stars for a member of staff called Jamie,VERY helpful re - Quorn Bacon. No stars for the member of staff female dark hair,couldn't see a name badge,clearly too much trouble when I asked about leaving the mop behind a till until I had all my shopping to pay for. Very disappointing with her attitude !
