In the heart of White City lies a haven, containing a wealth of items fit for a Kings kitchen cupboard apart from saffron.nnI vastly look forward to all of my occasional big Tesco visits, and this particular store is close to my heart and I know it well. Primed with kitchenware, clothing, garden essentials and all of your grocery needs big Tesco never fails to deliver on promises apart from saffron this time. It was refreshing to see a stand celebrating cultural festivals that aren’t typically British happy Diwali stand from Lindt, especially in the light of the recent “national pride” spike we see ourselves among.nnIt is not the cheapest supermarket, but it is certainly the most reliable choice for a well-armed oasis of reasonably priced branded items. Selections are far better than Sainsbury’s, Morrisons or Aldi. The latter of course wins on prices most of the time. I think I may have seen an advert once that Tesco do Aldi price match needs fact checking. If they do then this adds a sixth star please confirm.nnCopious underground parking is available, and the shop is easily accessible for all. The underground parking makes it a great wet weather option. My basket was faulty, which I coped with, but at one point I feared it had produced a hole in my clothing. This needs addressing.
Prices are insane. Everything that used to be 60p is not £2.20. I left with two bags products no meats, fish, or expensive things and it came up as £130! How’s is that even possible because I know for damn sure your workers aren’t getting paid more, so what’s with the increase?nNever left a supermarket vexed like today.
I Had THE best club sandwich and fries at the Tesco Cafe after the United vs Spurs match. Son also claimed his chicken burger was top tier. It certainly helped pass the time waiting for the match traffic to clear. Full marks to the cafe staff.
I would have given 5 stars, but the introduction of the new self service large tills are horrible.. they just don't work.. fortunately we had a small trolley because every item we scanned had be verified by a member of staff. Also you have to leave all your shopping on the scales until all items have been scanned.. fortunately we only had half a small trolley of goods, which we had to leave on the till umtill all items were scanned and payed for before we could bag it..The personed checkouts were 5 customer Deep on both tills..this is definitely a step to far considering the customers on a mid morning weekday are most likely to be elderlyn. I would like to thank the staff who assisted us on this horrendous shopping experience
Beware online grocery shoppers! They seem to get rid of expiring and out of date products by sending out to delivery customers instead of reducing price in store. The delivery drivers try to distract you when you’re transferring from tote crate to your own bags/boxes so that you don’t see the short use-by dates. They don’t always notify short dates in dispatch emails. Not ideal for disabled or elderly customers. Some of the use-by dates are barely legible because print is so small. I don’t know about you but I don’t consume all of my comestibles on the day of delivery then not eat for a week. Very poor store for customer service. Profit, profit, profit mad!
