The only Tesco I know requiring a coin for a trolley. Tesco used to appreciate the lifetime value of a customer and respectfully not inconvenience their regulars by doing stuff like this. Now all customers are treated as untrustworthy vandals having to deposit a coin. This is why me and 3 other people I know stopped shopping there. They just don't want the hassle. Clearly every other Tesco understands how much it annoys customers and this is why they do not do it.
Visited the store this afternoon Friday 9th Jan, around half 2 pm, there were 2 cashiers on the shopping trolley checkouts, I joined a queue with the fewer customers, then was told by the cashier they were closing that till? It was very awkward as the lady sort of yelled it passed 4 customers that were already in front of me and they all turned and looked at me like I’d done something wrong by joining the shopping queue. But I moved to the remaining open queue which had a number of customers annoyed waiting, after which more joined, when finally I got to the front of the line, miraculously 2 other staff arrived and opened 2 other tills to serve, which was great if I had just not wasted so much of my time queuing and wasn’t at the front having put my shopping on the counter, bit annoyed about this as it was a friday afternoon and I only had a small shop £40
Today bank holiday Monday, the cafe is not busy. However. Due to staff shortages, many tables used are not cleared. This makes the place unappealing. I know the regular staff Dan is excellent generally, but today he is overworked and couldn't do everything himself. I feel so sorry for him.nI hope that the situation will improve soon or even the best staff would be overstressed and worn out.nGood luck .
Store is good but one worker in particular didn’t catch his name but he was really rude to me and accused me of not adding bags onto my shopping even though I brought them from home he was accusing me of stealing the bags when I didn’t and as I proceeded to pack my bags he told me to put my items in my bag and get out which I thought was extremely rude so please do better next time and don’t make assumptions
Great choice of products. Opening hours suit my lifestyle. The morning staff on self checkouts are amazing especially Tuesday and Thurshsday. And free apples fir kids
