I am a regular customer at Sainsbury‘s at Altrincham.nToday, for the first time 20/8/24,  I encountered a weird incident. An elderly man at the counter cashier,  appeared unfriendly and very awkward. He also was starting at my daughter 18 yr old which was ridiculous. I wondered whether this is racism?  She was in a hoodie, and suffers from depression . It wasn’t a nice experience. I don’t expect the cashier to greet or be friendly.. but at least be normal. It’s not fair to make anyone feel awkward. I don’t write reviews usually.. but I just didn’t feel right today

I am appalled on how I saw these three girls get treated today being accused of stealing after putting a body lotion on a shelf and a pack of water balloons , I do this all the time if I don’t want to buy something I put it back on the shelf , they also weren’t keeping this private it was in the middle of an aisle getting in the way of fellow shoppes like myself I find quite strange that an  old man was following  theses girls who did not look much older than 10 around a shop when they weren’t doing anything wrong but shopping like everyone else in the shop sort this out !!!!AND I WILL NOT RETURN I WILL STICK TO TESCO AND ALDI

Only 2 check outs open Thursday lunchtime huge queues . It would be fine for a small shop using self check outs . Not good enough..

I am a regular shopper at this store and I have always found the staff polite, friendly and courteous, with the exception of my experience today Saturday 13th July.nnI came through checkout number 25 at around 3.30pm and was dealt with by a young woman that obviously didn’t want to be there.  She neither look at nor spoke to me, she threw my shopping across the scanner and at me down the packing area, when she had finished scanning she just sat there.  She did not tell me how much my shopping had cost nor did she ask me if I had a nectar card, she was too busy texting on her mobile phone.nnI scanned my nectar card and paid for my shopping, still not a word from her.  I asked her what her checkout number was, she shrugged and said ‘dun no’, as I walked away the customer behind me shouted after me that it was checkout number 25.  I went to customer services and spoke to a lovely lady who said she would report the incident.  I have never complained about a member of staff anywhere before but I am so angry at how rude this young woman was that I felt I had to make a comment.

Impossible to speak to someone on the phone. If their voice recognition system doesn't understand what you want, it just hangs up on you.  Awful customer service.
