A taste of Italy right on our doorsteps! We visited here on a Wednesday night, it wasn't full but most tables were taken at some point during our visit. I booked in advance and would probably recommend that however I feel that midweek you will probably be OK walking in though I'd avoid the disappointment and book ahead if I were you!. The restaurant is small but cozy, not too many tables but a lovely comfy atmosphere. The waiter was really lovely too, friendly, checked in on us and helped with the menu choices. I can't lie - the best bit was the food. Everything we had was absolutely delicious and really reminded us of visits to small town restaurants in Tuscany. The pasta was outstanding with a delicious chewy texture and the ragu was far better than anything I've been able to get close to at home. Both of our starters were also fantastic and the wine menu had a good selection with varied price ranges. It looks like the menu changes regularly here and they would normally offer 3 options per course so one that it worth going back to in order to try out different things! I will definitely be getting back there!!!
This place has easily become one of my favourite Italian restaurants in Dublin! A quaint, hidden gem! Everything we had, from starters to dessert was amazing. Would recommend to book in advance because there are only a few tables. 10/10 would go again!Food: 5/5
Burrata couldn't have been nicer. The raviolis were absolutely beautiful and the salted caramel Pannacota a delight. Traditional meals that couldn't taste any better. It just felt like being in a trattoria which made my experience even lovelier. I will be back!
Had a great experience at Terra Madre. Ingredients were so fresh and the taste of food was amazing. Totally recommended. Just book with some days in advance since they have limited capacity in the restaurant.
I was visiting Dublin and this turned to be a great family style Italian resto. Run by husband-and-wife duo, welcoming Italian hospitality , concise menu. I love Florentine tripe. Strongly recommend.Food: 5/5
I love it! A cosy sweet Italian place, the food was delicious and the staff was very polite. Also the recommended wines were sooo tasty. Just wow!
It was a very traditional legit Italian restaurant. Be aware of that there're no other drinks but wine only. The food was very good. The past was slightly bland but their special chilly addition made it so tasty. I recommend this place for a quiet date or a casual formal dinner. Not many tables and they seem to take only small numbers of customers so it'd be better to book a table first.
Very relaxed atmosphere. You want a top up of water, it’s on a table for you to pour yourself. Delicious food. Real authentic Italian. Really Enjoyed everything, recommend the panna cotta with cherry
Terra Madre is probably Dublin's most amazing Italian hidden gem. We've been coming here for years and the cuisine has always been stunning! The proprietors are very attentive and the atmosphere is very warm, cozy and inviting. There are only a few tables downstairs, so make sure you call and book! The menu, although limited, is always fabulous. There are only a few starters if they have the burrata, please do not hesitate to order it and a few mains, as it's limited to what they create on the day. The food is cooked to order, in the kitchen, which you can see from your table. The aromas are absolutely intoxicating. We can't recommend this restaurant enough, make sure to order a bottle of wine and relax and enjoy the very homey ambience.
A fun little spot to grab a great Italian meal. You’ll likely miss the restaurant unless you know it’s there as it’s down under another storefront. It’s a quiet, small restaurant with about 5-6 tables only and a menu that is changed frequently and not on their website. We tried all 3 kinds of pasta and they were delicious. One was a traditional pomodoro sauce, the other a ragù and the last in a truffle cream sauce - all amazing and all the pasta is made fresh. We also had the special, which was burrata, along with a bottle of wine and tiramisu for dessert. We left feeling fully and happy. I would definitely recommend!
