Tequila Jacks in Cork is an absolute gem of a Mexican restaurant that left me in awe after my second visit! The drinks are nothing short of incredible - from margaritas to tequila shots, the extensive bar menu is bound to satisfy even the most discerning of drinkers. Do ask ahead for their tequila selection as I found that they were out most of the premium tequila on their list. It’s not just about the drinks - the food is equally impressive, with offerings that are both delicious and authentic. While I loved the food, I must say that during my visit, some of the dishes arrived a bit cold. However, this didn't detract from the flavors, as each dish was packed with mouthwatering sensations that took me straight to the streets of Mexico. In terms of service, it was nothing extraordinary, but still satisfactory. Our waitress was friendly enough, but given that we were flagging her down multiple times to order further dishes, she could have been a bit more attentive. Beyond these minor drawbacks, the atmosphere at Tequila Jacks is spot on. The lively energy and vibrant decor make for a truly fun dining experience. Overall, Tequila Jacks in Cork provides a sensational Mexican culinary journey that is well worth experiencing. The high quality drinks, authentic food, and vibrant atmosphere all make for an exciting and enjoyable evening that you're bound to remember. This is a place I'll definitely be visiting again!
The food was great and plentiful. On this Friday evening, it was very FULL, which unfortunately affected the waiting times quite a bit. It took about an hour until the food was served and also the beers took some time. The service was nice though.Food: 5/5
Indo-Canadian visiting from Toronto. Great food and ambience. The staff are amazingly polite and sweet despite the crowd. Cocktails seemed uniquely fun though I didn’t try them. Decent selection of wine and other spirits. Reminded me of any other popular Mexican chain in Canada and with as good or likely better service! Definitely go here!
This is a very nice spot for Mexican Food in Cork City. The quantity is good and prices are reasonable. The atmosphere is very nice and the staff are amazing. I would highly recommend a visit for dinner here and/or night out for party or special occasion.Food: 5/5
The BEST Mexican in cork. For starters we had a huge melted cheese and sharing board and went with the shrimp + chicken fajitas and a MASSIVE enchiladas. Finished with fresh churros the rum runner cocktail was 10/10 and the service was incredible. If I wasn’t working the next day I would have stayed for the DJ! Shout out to our waitress as she was fabulous!
Nice spot for a meal, drink and dance. I enjoy the food very much, good size tasty meals. Helpful friendly service. And those Latin Music Saturdays... I'm sold.Food: 5/5
Excellent presentation of the dishes. The guacamole was outstanding! The cocktails were good but the meat on the plate was little and hidden by the vegetables and the tacos leaked water because the lettuce was not dry. Overall I'd say everything looks better than it taste!
Great music and vibe! I ordered calamari. It’s sprinkled with mayo or sour cream. If you don’t like that, let them know. The marinara sauce was so good, even though it was cold! It’s a tiny bit spicy. It reminds me of tomato soup without the basil. It’s creamy and delicious. I also ordered the tres leches cake. It’s a white cake, not too sweet. It’s moist but I wasn’t tasting any tres leches. Usually it’s dripping with tres. Overall, I like it here, am glad I stop by!
Hadn’t visited in a while- it was excellent. Food was delicious, Shrimp tacos. Staff were very friendly and efficient. I look forward to returning again soon
