The chicken wings are out of this world and the greatest combo with beer. The crunch in every bite makes it the closest nostalgic experience I have to home. Not a big fan of the tangy dip they come with. It turned me to a regular anyway. I don't even bother to check the rest of the menu anymore. The overall expense to food ratio is definitely low on the pockets. Well Worth it. The place is well lit, The drinks selection is diverse with plenty of seasonal options. They had an interesting collection of British beers recently. There is indoor and outdoor seating which is also pleasant when it rains Appetite killer: The toilet stenches up the place at times in the evenings.
Fantastic breakfast , cosy pub , the black pudding with the breakfast was truly scrumptious The staff were super friendly ,my first time in Ireland super impressed with the Emerald Isle
What a great place to get an early breakfast or lunch or dinner. But I especially like the breakfast.Great staff and atmosphere in the centre of Cork, very affordable and if you want to sit outside & watch the world go by. That's an option to. Marty.Food: 4/5
Dreadful, 1 guy serving behind the till, lunch time & a very long queue,he told me staff had rang in sick and they'd no replacements, had to clean off a table, filthy, I was sorry I placed an order, after eating the cold food I realised I'd been over charged but given the whole experience I just wanted to get out of there so didn't queue to go back, never again!!!! PS I don't blame the staff
Crazy good prices on food and beverages. You sacrifice attentive service, but everyone I talked to there was pleasant and helpful. The food was good and there were actually a number of beers that I have not seen elsewhere in the Cork area. I would not say this is a must do if visiting from abroad, but it did provide a cozy sit down lunch at a very affordable price.
Visited on steake Tuesday at 7pm and had no steaks! Burger very basic small amount of chips fish very small so had 2 pieces each chips very nice and mushy peas. The whole place could do with a good clean and refresh. Dust all over the walls. No light bulbs in lights on table chargers on wall don't work. Pictures need cleaning. Long wait at the bar not enough staff would hate to visit on weekend waiting at bar. Staff friendly and nice.
This bar is perfect, but once they kick us out for bouying beer for someone that has ban
Meh overall. Cheap drinks and food but thats unfortunately all thats really going for it! Can be left waiting for simple drinks ordered on the app, in our case for 40 minutes when we could see them on the side of the bar, or can see the order as the only one on the screen but see bar staff actively ignoring it for half an hour to chat. This has happened with food and drinks more than once. Food isnt great, can be alright but can also be approaching inedible. Not worth the low price when the latter! Good place for cheap pre-drinks, or stopping in for free-refill coffee.
Good atmosphere, cheap drinks, nice food. Will definitely head back down to cork to this place soon
Best breakfast in the city, if you stay long enough fantastic choice of beers ciders ales at affordable prices.Recommended dishesIrish Breakfast Plate
