The Good: Food was delicious and a generous portions for the price. The duck was the best I've had in Exeter. Rice and chips were also tasty. Delivered in 30mins. The Bad. Only one thing: cash only, so needed to sprint to the shop to use a cash machine. Should be made clearer on menu, or be able to take payment by card. Best Chinese Takeaway I've tried yet in Exeter; is better food and value for money than Yummy House, Tamarind Bay or Sunrise.
I ordered from here the other night 6/9/22 and WOW THIS CHINESE TAKEAWAY IS THE BEST EVER! The food was absolutely beautiful and not greasy and the portions were definitely amazing too. I spent £60 and evey penny was worth it with the lovely special chow meins, chicken balls, spare ribs, chicken wings and incredible giant spring rolls!. Even soups I ordered were so tasty with a beautiful spicy one and chicken sweetcorn, it was all SO TASTY AND AMAZING I seriously definitely recommend to order your Chinese from here "Taste Of China" I will never order from anywhere else, because these are the best! I rate the TEN STARS**********
Always such an amazing place to eat food is on time and delicious never disappoints tonight it was over 40 mins late with 2 hungry children I understand can be busy at times bit didn't even answer the phone for over half an hour or compensate pretty sure we spent the required amount to recover free prawn crackers and didn't even receive them just any recognition would be nice!!! We will probably still return as lovely restaurant and such lovely food merry xmas

Taste Of China is the best Chinese Takeaway this side of the river. We use them everytime we have a Chinese now. They have a great delivery service and at a very reasonable price. We had Sweet n Sour chicken,Beef and mushrooms and Chicken Fried RiceWhich is one of the best I've had for a long time I no everyone's taste is different but as a family we really enjoy The Taste Of China.5***** from us
Great local Chinese takeaway, extensive menu and friendly service. They don't take cards for payment but there is a cash point at the Tesco's right next door so it isn't far to go to grab some. All set up for covid with a large plastic screen and even a speaker/mic to hear you through your mask :

Toying between leaving 3 or 4 stars. I think the food is really good here, one of the best in Exeter. Something that lets this place down greatly is their estimated time vs the time they actually give it for collection It’s happened about 4 times now, once was New Year’s Eve, so I decided to give them the benefit of the doubt as it was super busy. But other times including tonight I have called to order, been told 30mins for collection. Turned up 30 minutes later and then been left waiting outside for another 20 minutes. I’d rather when calling they just told me it would be an hour as I’d be happy to wait at my house for 55 minutes , then drive to collect it when it’s actually ready. I will be trying other places now as this really is quite an inconvenience even if the food is delicious.
We have used this Chinese regularly now for 3 years since moving to the area. I called to place an order for. Sweet and sour chicken balls with fried rice, house special chicken, garlic and honey ribs and a portion if chips well done to be collected in 20 and this was agreed by them. We arrive at 4o mins later due to traffic.and when I ask 7f its ready I'm told wait a minute lady , the kady behind the counter then disappeared. I then wait another 10 mins, we are now on 54 mins since I called , i shout excuse me how long us it going to be. To hear the reply they have given our order to someone else. Won't be long. Another 10 mins I get my food, they knock me 80p off a £25.80p order. I then get home to find the chips I'd asked for well done, weren't even cooked inside and were still raw so I had to put them in the fryer to re cook. To then realise my whole meal was cold. We had been out all day with nothing to eat , hence the reason for calling for a take away and collecting. I am not happy that I ended up with such a long wait and on top if that was only offered 80p off to then find I had to cook it again when I got home. Really bad service. We won't be using this one again after tonight's messjust a quick one fir the owners/employees, it's not the mistakes, it's hiw you deal with it and the standard of good customer service.
Terrible service. Lady on the phone was very rude. We ordered almost £100 of food, and with the order being wrong by missing off a dish, I rang to get it swapped. She wouldn’t believe me saying she had packed it herself and that the order was right. In the end I hung up as I was getting nowhere. Rude service and she should listen to a customer if an order is wrong after spending so much.
