Tani is a gem in Terenure! If you are looking for a great Japanese restaurant, Tani is the perfect place for you. The prices might be a bit on the higher side but the food quality is absolutely worth it. The sushi is delicious very fresh fish that melts in your mouth, the staff is very friendly, and the atmosphere welcoming and relaxed. We shared a salted-caramel brownie for dessert, which had a rich chocolate flavour and came with delicious, homemade ice cream. The miso soup here is perfectly balanced in flavour - the best I have had in Dublin. But the dish I would come back for any day was the seaweed salad. I had no idea salad could ever be this delicious! Highly recommended! Vegetarian options: I tried the vegegarian sushi selection and it was really delicious. I think Tani offers a good amount of vegetarian dishes that are just as or even more delicious seaweed salad! than the fish or meat counterparts.
Friendly staff .. very polite and helpful Fish and sushi order sushi sets quality were really very fresh. We also ordered SAKE Japanese rice wine, which was served in these traditional shot glasses and was so heart warmingly delicious. Paid - 68€ for everything in the pics
This restaurant was a great find. The restaurant is classic japanese asian restaurant inside and out. It has a laid back atmosphere which is perfect if you are looking for some quiet and zen eating time. Nothing fancy but the inside was clean and tidy. Staff were really nice and warm. The food is superb. I mean, right proportions, good presentation and the taste is one of the best and most authentic i had for quite some time, not salty , not oily and surprisingly fresh. They have one of the best seaweed saladmust try, and the curry's are as asian as you can get. Not to mention the crispyness of fried selections tofu, vegetables and chicken were consistent throughout the dinning experience. A bit pricey but well spent. Will comeback for sure.
Tani is a small Japanese restaurant in Terenure with authentic Japanese food. It was busy the day we went and from the looks of it the locals preferred the hot food. We, however, decided to go with a sushi platter. It was the right choice for us anyways ! The sushi was fresh and delicious! Our waitress then recommended the desserts and OMG they were to die for We'll be back! Vegetarian options: Vegetarian options are available.

Wow tried Japanese food for the first time. Great food and even better value. Tried the early bird menu, same size portions as the main menu. Staff are friendly and courteous. My recommendation Give it a go you will be pleasantly surprised.
Came here with my brother in law on his recommendation. Ordered the early bird special and got the calamari and seafood udon. Service was friendly and attentive, food was hot, had good flavours and simple clean presentation. The calamari was spicy. The udon noodles had salmon, squid, shrimp which were cooked perfectly, as it is easy to over cook seafood. Nice clean restaurant, would liked to have seen bento box options but maybe that’s not a thing around here.
The food here is really nice, it is a bit on the expensive side but the portions are good and the taste is really good . Try the duck if you have the chance, and also take the early bird menu so you can save a bit of money. You have plenty of options on the menu to choose from. The sushi is also good and they also have really nice deserts. Finding parking in front could be difficult, but you can find a parking close by. There are not many tables available but I went with a big group and it was ok. This is a really nice place to go with friends or with your partner. Also, they have some food options for kids.

The best way to describe this place is just plain amazing. I do not consider myself a sushi expert, but more an enthusiast, but it tastes so good, the cuts all seemed to just melt in my mouth and the rice was perfectly seasoned. The amount of attention payed to each piece was noticed as well as the attentiveness of all the staff. The decor was elegant and the atmosphere sophisticated. 5 stars quality, definitely I will come back here again.
