Kokoro
"Our journey took us to the city of Kagawa to purchase Ireland's first state of the art ramen noodle making machine. We make all our noodles fresh on site in the restaurant's kitchen.Ramen is a Japanese noodle soup dish. It consists of Chinese-style wheat noodles served in a meat or fish-based broth, often flavored with soy sauce or miso, and uses toppings such as sliced pork, dried seaweed, menma, and green onions.Nearly every region in Japan has its own variation of ramen, from the tonkotsu pork bone broth ramen of Kyushu to the miso ramen of Hokkaido."

I had the tonkotsu and it was adequate. The broth was good, the egg was well seasoned, and the pork tasty. However the noodles were too chewy. I added hot sauce to my taste. I liked the vibe and the service was nice. My boyfriend enjoyed his veg version. Definitely hit the spot on a cold day.Recommended dishes
Don’t expect to get a table without prior reservation even though they have plenty of seating space. The food is very yummy and the staff provide great service. Probably one of the best pork bun sandwiches I have ever had. The stools and chairs are somewhat uncomfortable to sit on.
I went there three times and was never disappointed. It’s a beautiful restaurant, with nice cultural hints to Japanese pop-culture. Some areas are quite dark though. The ramens are really worth it! The rice balls are fine, but not exceptional though. And I really need to talk about the chicken Kara-age top of the first picture and fourth picture. I could eat only that my whole life. They are delicious and I have never eaten chicken prepared this way. Also the staff is very friendly and accommodating. They made us sit in tiny room with a big group next to us. They were super loud and we couldn’t hear each other so we asked to be placed somewhere else, which they did apologising.
What is your expectation from a restaurant? Delicious dishes? An elegant presentation? Well-prepared table? Friendly service? Spacious and culture-appropriate interior design? Even the music you listen to while eating matters. While this is the case, it is necessary to review many alternatives! We met up with friends at The Ramen Bar we chose for tonight! You need to book in advance or you will have to wait a while! After sitting at the 6 person table shown to us, we placed our orders! Our orders came later than we thought! To tell the truth, delicious food is important, but taking so long can kill the flavor of the food you eat. It's even harder to wait for food when you're hungry. Still, it was a good experience. You can see what we ate from the photos : I will write their names later. Thank you for the friendly waiters and services. I hope you can improve the service. best regards
Delicious food that truly hits the spot! Fills up fast so worthwhile having a reservation if you can, but on a Friday at 1830 they still were able to get us seats. Short wait times for quality food, and their tea was top notch with a beautiful presentation as well! Music & ambience were lovely without being overbearing, either! Vegetarian options: Plenty of vegetarian & several vegan options Dietary restrictions: Plenty of vegetarian & several vegan options
Delicious food! Their special where you get a ramen and an appetizer is an incredible value. Only critique: There were way too many noodles in our soup. I know that probably sounds funny, but my whole party agreed! I would have much preferred the soup cost a little less and have 20% less noodles; I hate wasting food and none of us could finish!
The last time I've been to the ramen bar was two years ago. The bites were just as heavenly as before! Great food and drinks. The customer service was excellent; helpful and patient. Looking forward to my next time visit!
Service was poor, I was sitting in the restaurant for 15 mins before I had to go find someone to take my order. Chicken karaage was excellent, very tender and flavourful. The dumplings where dry on the inside and stodgy. The ramen was a little watery, the broth was not as thick or flavourful as I was expecting from Tantanmen
Can’t recommend this place enough!! Very authentic and delicious Japanese food. The starters are all gorgeous and the ramen bowls are bigger portions than you know what to do with. They have a set menu on some days where you get a ramen bowl and a starter for €15 and it’s definitely worth it. There’s lots of choices for ramen - meat, vegetarian and vegan. We’ve been there twice now and are most likely going to come back again. I would recommend the dumplings and kimchi arancini for starters and for ramen - either the traditional spicy pork one or the devil ramen which is their spiciest ramen on the menu. I can also safely say that it’s a huge portion with room for leftovers for the next day. Very nice staff and the interior is very sleek and good looking
Excellent find. Some of the best ramen I have had. Prices were very fair, portions very large. I had the Devils ramen, it comes with a warning that you should talk to your server about the heat. I have an exceptionally high heat tolerance and it was legit. This is a perfect place to conquer the Dublin hangover!
