J2 Sushi&Grill right opposite the Spencer Hotel is a nice cosy spot with amazing service and really tasty food. A nice spot during the cold rainy December. I ordered a rice bowl with California roll and the host was kind of enough to bring my partner and I green tea while we waited for the food. It was the best service for the cold weather and not to forget the hosts’ warm smile. Food was very delicious and portion size is great for price.
After 3 years in Dublin I finally found a place with great sushi. We have first ordered Aburi Salmon and Spider and both choices were appetizing. After that we shared Sushi tempura rolls - also very delicious. The service was also friendly and we did enjoy the decor and mellow music. Definitely will be coming back.
Amazing sushi experience: great service! Received a complimentary tea on arrival I’d recommend dragon roll and tiger roll. Great unagi : Rolls are huge and fool of fish. Ingredients are fresh. Lovely music Will come back!
Came for a quick sushi lunch. Had a spicy salmon tempura roll and California roll. I don’t know if I’m used to sushi being cheap in Sweden, but for me €14.5 for 8 pieces is quite hefty. The sushi itself was ok. There was a big lack of flavor, and little to no spice, but no major issues. I did not realize that tempura roll meant deep fried sushi, not a big fan of this but that’s on me not the restaurant. Staff was super friendly and the location is unmatched. Overall alright experience, good sushi but expected way more based on price and google reviews, would probably come back.
Came here because it was very close to my hotel and I didn't feel like walking far, and I'm glad I did! Very good food for the price, and good size portions! Probably the first time I've been unable to eat all the rice in my meal. I ordered the takoyaki, ikura gunkan, and the salmon Don. Everything was quite tasty, quality was good, a little too much mayo and rice in the salmon don, but otherwise not much to complain about!
Such a nice place to grab a quick bite or sit in. Situated beside the docklands, its nice to see the view, either sitting outdoor or indoors. The bento box meals never fails and that takoyaki was delish!Food: 5/5
Lost my keys a week ago and the staff helped me find them. Went back today to thank them. Amazing sushi and coffee. Staff are 10/10 super friendly and polite!!
I always do have a great time just last week I went there again I go every week has you can see it's lovely there I think I diserve a lovely free dumplings tomorrow
The customer service was horrible, I booked for three people and we added another person since it wasn't busy. We went there and the lady said to us in a very passive aggressive manner " that we have to call before going because it's really busy " ... even though we were the only people there at the time. When I wanted to order a spider roll and a California roll the lady taking my order said " are you sure because that's a lot of food, because I wouldn't be able to finish that much " making me feel insecure and decide to only order one. My friend was ordering and she accidentally dropped her chopstick on the floor and was going to pick it up once she finished ordering. The lady taking our order aggressively said " excuse me woman you dropped your chopstick right ?! Can you help me with your chopstick and I'll get you a new one. YOU DROPPED IT RIGHT ?! " she was so rude and really upset us and made us feel uncomfortable and judged. When we got our food we tried to enjoy it but we were called " women / girl " in a very rude way, the food overall was good but it did fall apart unlike other sushi places I've been to. Which are more firm After we ate I decided to order some more to bring home, and when I asked the waiter if I could see the menu which he was very nice and got it for me. The lady previously taking our order had a irritated facial expression and asked him what he was doing. Overall, I feel like I should've left the restaurant after how we were greeted when we first walked in. I will not be going back to this place and will continue going to other sushi places with excellent customer service.
Spicy salmon tempura wasn’t spicy at all, instead fish was too salty and the taste of that salt overshadowed the taste of the rest of the dish, do not recommend to take it. Other two sets ordered were very palatable but rice in both of them wasn’t that sticky as it should and sushi were falling apart. Also I ordered a takeaway and they forgot to put the sticks in, but that’s a minor. Overall the place seems cozy and popular, but not at my taste, maybe at some point I’ll visit it again but can’t recommend it to anyone just yet.
