Wonderfully delicious spot for Katsu curry and sushi. I went for dinner and lunch and night be back 1-2 more times while I'm in London since it is high quality food, quick service and close to the nHow hotel where I am staying :
Wow! It's a real authentic Japanese place which is quite rare to find outside of Japan! Food is delicious! It's cooked and served "as in Japan", honestly. I used to live in Japan for a few years so I know how food should look and taste. : I recommend this place. Add it to your TODO list if you have not done it yet! P.S. My personal recommendation is pork katsu. If you've been to Japan and know what tonkatsu is then try it here, you will not be disappointed!
It's lucky that we friends can get a table for 3 on Valentines Day The food is great, and I particularly like the pork katsu set! Juicy pork even under deep fried with slices of sweet cabbage Mochi is good too as a dessert after such heavy meal I also like the vibe with 90s & 00s Japanese songs playing in the restaurant Will definitely visit again.
Amazing Food! Best Katsu Curry i ever had in London. Very tasty fresh food at good temperature. big portions. Staff very friendly. Worth the price ! Try it. I highly raccomande it in case you are looking to have a very nice curry.
Perfect for a work lunch. Always feel welcomed. The taste is on the heavy and salty side, but compliment well with the unlimited refill of the veggies.
Great meal here tonight One less star because we got charged for curry sauce £4 extra. We asked the waitress before ordering if we will get katsu curry and teriyaki in our order and she didn’t say it comes without sauce so so so dry without it. Chicken seemed a bit over fried to us. Nonetheless will still return again
Best Katsu in the UK! Finally found a place that has katsu nearly as good as the ones in Japan. The crispy and thick layer of breadcrumb coating was outstanding. Staffs were friendly too.
Tanakatsu could change their name to heavenly Katsu. This has to be hands down the best Katsu curry I have had! For the price and portion it is very substantially crafted. The sushi and sashimi is average. Nothing much to write home about. Would definitely come back to quench a Katsu craving. Service was good, atmosphere was average. If going after 7pm booking is highly recommended to avoid long queues!
Katsu chicken & teriyaki salmon was very delicious. Pumpkin croquette was nice and crispy. Tuna tataki had a very nice sauce, I prefer the tuna to be thinner. Rainbow roll wasn’t special, it needed some sauce. Dora-yaki was just two pancakes with custard in between. Good staff. Very fast service.Nice atmosphere. High prices.
The food is okay, I had the bento set and the pumpkin croquet and karaage chicken are best among the other items. Pork katsu not tender enough but this is pretty much what you expect in London. Worth trying but probably won’t come back.
