We went for Sunday lunch and was reassured that the food was as good as always. The chef was excellent and gave us large portions. The staff were welcoming and friendly. We were the only customers there so the atmosphere could have been better. The prices have gone up but we were happy to pay as the quality and quantity of food was more than satisfactory.
It's an alright place, the pad Thai was tasty but everything else was exceptionally sweet even for Thai standards. The prices are a little steep too, with the prawn pad Thai being around £14 and it only contained about 3 to 4 prawns. Still enjoyed the meal but some of the dishes could be better - beef was tough and dry.
Really lovely food and friendly staff, we had a great meal. Only thing to improve on might be slightly softer lighting so it’s a more relaxed atmosphere for a cosy evening meal - the bright lights felt a little like a canteen. But it wouldn’t stop me coming back as the food was fantasticFood: 5/5
It’s run like faulty towers, the two staff that were there were overwhelmed and even thought there weren’t huge amounts of people dining. That being said, the food was decent, not too pricey. Just don’t go expecting a breathtaking dining experienceFood: 4/5
Food was decent. The beef was very dry and chewy and most of the food was overly sweet. The curries were very thin but still tasted nice. The food is 3/5 but the extra star is for the lovely woman who served us. She was very friendly and smiley and lifted the mood in an otherwise dull environment.Food: 3/5
Went there on a Wednesday at 6.30pm. I have known this place for years. Sadly on this visit it looked very run down. It was freezing inside, so much so, that the waitress had to put an electric fan heater by our table. The restaurant has reduced it's size to about half of what it used to be. Still looks nice on the outside. The atmosphere was strange because everyone kept their coats on to eat as it was so cold inside. Only one waitress was there to meet and greet, make cocktails and wait at the tables. Very overworked and that made the service slow. The food. Not as good as I would have liked. Starters were average and the battered chicken wings tasted of nothing and tasted like they had been in a warmer for hours! The main courses were very good. Cocktails were nice. The house white wine was sadly disgusting. I was with my girlfriend on a birthday night out and this place was a damp squib. Such a shame to see a once great restaurant fall from grace.
Ate here on 20th July 2024. Had starter platter - generous and tasty. I had beef penang wasn’t served hot and now have suspected food poisoning. Was quite pricy too.Food: 1/5
Traditional affordable Thai food served quickly! Ordered from a set lunch menu: vegetable spring rolls starter Pai Thai with King prawn main lemongrass tea drink all for £15. All tasted great and fresh. The only issue was the prawns still had the rails which gave me an additional task while eating. The staff were friendly and made sure everything came out on time. I would recommend if you are in the area or ordering in.
We both got food poisoning. We ordered the Penang curry and red duck curry.
Found the staff to be very friendly and attentive. Nice decor and atmosphere. The portions were quite big - the food wasn't bad at all, but nothing special, maybe a bit salty for me. We had the pad thai and the crispy chili duck - which wasn't as spicy as the menu suggested.
