Great food, reasonably priced, wonderful friendly staff. I had vegan tofu green curry, my brother had green curry with prawns. He was impressed with the quality and quantity of prawns. We met the chef who is an authentic Thai chef. The prawns crackers were delicious, best I've tasted. Can highly recommend this little restaurant. In the past I've enjoyed many takeaway meals from here. Vegetarian options: Plenty of choice for both vegetarians and vegans.
Usually get delivered so won’t comment on the venue, but I eat a lot of Thai food and find a Tom Yum soup is a good litmus test. It’s excellent here as is all the other food. My favourite local ThaiFood: 5/5
This place is so underrated, I don't understand why it only has 3.7 star. I don't usually write review for anywhere I have been to but I feel so sorry for them because they are very underrated. Firstly, the waiter and waitress are friendly, I really love the lady who brought our food, she always smiles brightly. They always came and checked on us to make sure we didn't wait too long for the next dishes, they even changed our plates before the main course which I really did not expect them to do, appreciate that. About the food, it's true that they are a bit smaller portions compared to the other restaurant around but they are definitely not that small. We ordered chicken satay skewers for starter and were amased that they gave us two different sauces. The other Thai restaurants that I have been to always served them with soy sauce but Talay Thai gave me sweet & sour sauce and peanut sauce and they both tasted amazing. The som tum and pad thai were also nice to me but my friend who prefers savoury food found them a bit bland but still delicious. We also order nuea ka ta stir fried beef with jasmine rice and we both agreed that it tasted amazing. We had Thai milk tea and cocktail for drink and they both came in good sizes and tatsed exactly like how we expected. Overall, the restaurant is definitely worth the price based on my own experience during a Wednesday night. Please don't let the low review star make you hesitate to try them. Try and feel them yourself cos to me they definitely worth it. We didn't expect high when coming in but then left in full and pleased. Highly recommend and will be back for second time.
We have just been here tonight. A mixed review if honest, friendly people and was fairly busy as we walked in. The food was okay taste-wise, having started with fried squid and Thai dim sum. We weren't too keen on the sauce provided, but that's more about trying something new. As much as it's essential for the restaurants, the number of delivery items being picked up by the workers was very noticeable and at times, quite distracting. The restaurant was a presentable area and worth a try. We give it A**** LDT x
We went on Saturday, neither of us had had Thai food before but this place was absolutely delicious. We ordered from the set menu, the starters were lovely, my partner doesn’t eat anything from the ocean but was surprised by how much he enjoyed it. The mains arrived promptly after the starters and was exquisite. Rice, noodles and 2 mains. Dessert was a choice of ice cream or tea/coffee. We both opted for ice cream- again tasty. We sat for an extra over 2 hours, enjoyed the atmosphere, decor and conversation. We weren’t made to feel rushed, the cocktails were lovely and my partner enjoyed double shorts. When paying we were given the option to add a tip rather than having a service charge applied to the final bill. We will be returning again, it was a lovely experience. Vegetarian options: I scanned through as my mum is vegetarian and I noticed there were quite as few options to choose from.
Recently came to celebrate a friends birthday. As ever the food was very good, the atmosphere fun and the staff very friendly. Always recommended.
We have enjoyed both delivery and dined in with Talay Thai. The restaurant has a lovely atmosphere and guests are well spaced out. The menu has all your stand Thai food options and is always hot, fresh and super tasty. The service is efficient and the staff are prompt. We will definitely be back!
My experience yesterday was not great Fri night and the restaurant quite empty. Starters were ok but main pretty and. Staff talking rudely to kitchen staff and a dog running around barking not a pleasant experience. Wont be returning.
Had a takeaway the flavours were great the food arrived hot and well packaged. Everyone enjoyed their dish. Thank you
a wonderful atmosphere, the family that own the restaurant are so welcoming and friendly the food was absolutely banging it was delicious 20/10 loved it and will be back i recommend the red curry i could taste the love in it!!! Vegetarian options: super good for vegan and vegetarian options there’s loads of dishes all sounded super tasty
