Food was bland, didn't feel fresh and tasted really cheap.
Quite pleasant and tasty if entirely unauthentic i.e. it is British Thai food. Nice individual flavours but you may want to take some chilli sauce if you have a hotter palate. The service was good, fast and friendly. The facilities are clean and ambience reasonable. I would certainly go again.
We ordered last night for the first time and to say we’re “disappointed” is an understatement. Everything caked in what I can only describe as either old oil or ‘fish’ oil, the Pad Thai tasted weird to the point my husband refused to eat it and certainly not like any Pad Thai I’ve ever had before. Portion size left a lot to be desired but given the flavours and the amount of oil in every single dish, it turned out to be a blessing in disguise. Three mains + two rice and three starters £60+. Maybe we had a bad night but we both woke up feeling sick and certainly won’t be back.
I like this place a lot. It is intimate and cosy and local and great value for price. The staff are also lovely. But as with all restaurants these days, it would be SO MUCH BETTER if they cooked with organic chicken, given how unhealthy and chemically/hormonally filled non organic chicken is. It would not add much to the cost of the food which is already very reasonable, and make it unique amongst it's competitors along the street if it did.
Cheap and cheerful. Fast service, food is quite good - you get what you pay for. Pad Thai is better than most other places as you don’t get that post-MSG thirst. Curries are quite authentic and taste quite fresh.
2 of us popped in last minute with out a booking and were seated immediately. Very friendly welcome by the staff but they were at times a bit non visible when we wanted their attention despite it not being overly busy - half star. We had the tom kha kai soup to start, which was spicier than normal usually almost not spicy at all but I liked it like that. For £5.50 the portion was rather small - half star. We then had two main dishes beef in black bean and chicken with ginger and yellow bean plus coconut rice. Both were very nice, especially the beef, and portions were OK for the price ~£9 each. Overall I'd recommend visiting for a nice meal out at reasonable prices ~£35 in total for us, no drinks and friendly service.
Food was terrible quality. Tasted like something you'd whip up in five minutes at home. We ordered and the food was on the table in about two minutes. I'm all for quick service but that makes it pretty clear the food wasn't fresh.
Really bad food. Shared starter was like fried party food, noodle dish had the taste and texture of instant noodles, chicken stir fry was bland and tasted microwaved - certainly wasnt fresh as the chicken was rubbery and dry. None of the food was flavoursome, I could honestly do better in my wok at home. Probably the worst thai food I've had... not even sure what made it thai to be honest?
Good quality Thai classics with some slightly more interesting things on the menu too! Very nice grilled prawns , I'm looking forward to trying some more things very soon.
Seriously, abysmal quantity for what I paid. I order 2 starters and 2 dishes for delivery that cost around 40 pound. The beef dish was mainly vegetable was very few slices of beef. When asked over the phone, the lady doesn't even care, and I was just told: "yeh it's normal".
