The food was wonderful, best curry I've had in a long time. When the menu says a dish is hot, then it is HOT but so full of flavour it is a delight to eat! We had no complaints about the speed of service like some other reviews. This place can get busy though as the food really is excellent. Well worth a visit.

Absolutely fantastic. Away worker at table for one, three course meal. The service was second to no other Indian restaurant I've dined at, and I've dined at quite a few. The food was beautiful, had a vindaloo, in which you could taste the meat, the red wine as well as the spices. It wasn't just a mouth burner. The food all appeared to be home made and they even made me a side dish which wasn't on their menu. I could not rate my experience at this restaurant any higher. If you love Indian food, get on down to the Taj Mahal in Amble. It's fantastic.

Just had Tandoori King Prawns and I've got to say, they were the best prawns I've ever tasted. Really big and full of flavour. My husband and I extremely enjoyed our meals. We will defo order from Taj Mahal again.

Fantastic food enjoyed every bite . Will definitely be back. Lovely crispy popadoms nice pickles. Lovely rice and great curry. Worth the 4p minute drive.
