Friday 3rd November 2017.  I'd been searching high and low for an apron which you pop over your head and tie up around back, but they all seemed so very tight across the chest area. Originally I wanted an overall which you just button up-but a problem as not sold anywhere in Eastbourne. I had looked online for months now and read several reviews but regards the sizing it was done as WX, OS etc not Size 14, 16 etc. I was still a bit hesitant as didn't want the hassle of having to return if garment not fitting as should.  I tried T J Hughes Department Store and their size of apron was more Junior Miss then a grown up woman, so last remaining place I thought of was Sylvia's Chest Of Drawers.  Funnily enough I had visited here a very long time ago and couldn't remember what I bought back then.  Anyhow, upon entering the shop I saw exactly what I wanted - in fact my original choice the Mrs. Overall. Pale blue and white chequered with a nice blue collar and button up.  Three quarters arm length.  I tried on OS being a Size 16 myself-but it was still a bit tight across bust and bearing in mind the overall would be washed in laundrette I was aware of possibility of shrinkage.  Not being far from Winter I wanted an overall to cater to my being able to get over heavier clothing, meaning extra space-so plumped for next size up which is XOS.  Cost £11.99p. Please note some good colour choices as well as sizes. Fitted me like a glove-so very happy with!  A good quality garment. Lady who attended to me was so very nice, very patient and helped me on/off and her advice and expertise was invaluable.   She did explain payment wise she only accepts cash and does not take VISA card but advised of a Sainsbury's just down the road.  Also from today's date she will be closing 6 mths time.  She said by end of April 2018. Possibility she may reduce her prices in run up to closure-but will review nearer the date.  Will be a shame to see this store go.  Some companies online charging similar and maybe one other was a couple pound less.  Upside to me was that I was able to just go to a shop, try on and purchase and takeaway same day.  I highly recommend this clothing store.  They do also sell Tabards as well as Aprons.  Lady doesn't have a full length mirror in store but she managed to move items away from mirror she did have-so I'd have a rough idea how apron looked on me-which was nice of her. Plus she sells a host of other good quality clothing as well-which I would say seasonal ranges. Covers all year round.
