The best chippy in Devon. Been visiting Appledore for 30 years and always make sure we visit Sylvesters. Quality never varies,always exceptional. Not had better cod anywhere , cooked to perfection

Possibly the best fish and chips in the country, easily the best I have had, lovely crsip chips and light batter all with no grease. I'm going back again

Wonderful place and somewhere I make sure I get fish and chips from every time I come to Appledore! Make sure to bring cash with you as they don't take card.

Where I used to live the local chippy had a Egon Ronay award, and I have to say sylvesters is easily equal to that. Beautifully cooked fish (something I know a bit about) and crispy, fresh cut chips. I suggest you brave the que and get some quality food.
