was sent to a job with the promise of a few months work as a labourer assisting a trade. I turned down other work to take this position. on arrival I was told they wanted the skilled trade not the labour. so I was left without any work and still am now when I could of gone to other jobs. when tried to contact my representative at the agency she wouldn't answer me so I messaged her explaining the situation and saying I expected to be paid for the day due to her mistake to which I got no answer. terrible way to treat people would not advise to anyone
The treatment I recieved on entering Swanstaff agency was one of complete disregard, I was dumped in a corner given a ream of paperwork and just told to get on with it. The attitude of the staff was one of couldnt care less. The particular member of staff just kept wandering off and paying no attention to the concerns regarding the paperwork i was filling out. I found thier attitude very un proffessional to say the least and my experience has left me never to even think of using an agency ever again. After completing the pointless excersise of repeating everything in my CV which they also had a copy of I was then subjected to a "test paper" which I found insulting to say the least accompanied by a flippent remark after I questioned it. This is NOT the way to treat partential clients resulting in just walking straight out the door therefore denying potential employers of decent staff. I was told this "test was so they could pick the best jobs for me however I believe the best person to pick jobs for me is me it is thier job to offer them and NOT to decide for me. I will be taking this up with head office at the earliest opportunity and expect something to be done about this appalling service.
Useless, you want an agency that’s going to help you get a job, Swanstaff couldn’t sell water to a thirsty man in the desert
